What I was saying was that when that happened, I didn't think that would be the end of Bane...I expected more of an "ending" to Bane. I do agree that he is likely dead (once the movie ended).

Oh ok. Yeah, I really though Bane would die a more epic death.. That was a bad way to end a intimidating menacing villain.

I'm pretty sure bane died, that thing was blowing holes through eye kind of shite and he took one in the chest. His death was another thing I didn't mind, Batman kicked his arse and had broken him. He was too dangerous to keep alive and Batman wasn't going to kill him.

eta: I see now you thought he wasn't dead at the time

Yeah but then Miranda put his mask back together and he was okay again. I thought Batman was going to be Epic and beat Bane up with a stab wound.. being all super heroic and crap. But no.. catwoman just blasted Bane

Am I the only one who was waiting for the Lazarus Pit to appear in this thing once we saw how bad of shape Batman was in? They didn't even give that ni*ga BenGay.

Bane basically dislocated a disc, and didn't seem to actually "break" anything.

This bothered me. A dislocated vertebrae can take up to a year on little activity to fully heal. But we see Wayne being VERY active, training, in prison. Then we see him in several long falls where he is saved by a rope tied around his lower back. Sorry, but that kind of jolt would EASILY reinjure him at that point.

unknownknight not shutting up about Nolan not giving us a shot of freeing the other prisoners. Who cares?

Yeah he filled multiple pages with him not understanding how ropes work. And the guy complaining about not liking when rich people lose their money because he plans to be rich one day was just as bad.

The only letdowns for me, were the stock market stuff and how quickly Bruce's power gets cut off. And I was hoping Bane would go out in a more dramatic fashion.

Other than that, I thought this story was more complete than the other 2.

Same here. I was expecting a performance similar to Maximus in Gladiator.

Definitely something else that was bothering me.

Also, the one guy they showed attempt the climb...did he die when he fell after missing the jump? That's what I assumed had happened. But then we see Bruce fall three times, after having a fricked up back/vertebrae, and was fine.

Yep. This was where it is far-fethed, and I said as much. The recovery timeline.

One thing that totally threw me off of the entire movie was the manner in which Selina Kyle served food at the party. She should have carried the tray with her right hand, not the left. That was just stupid, lazy writing on Nolan's part.

My initial reaction was the climb was punishment. Then it just seems a free for all. Try as many times as you want. You're telling me those 200 people haven't been trying night and day to get out of there? Come on.

the thing I liked best is that the prison had a worker attending the rope. I thought that was weird.

Back to the spine injury. Batman did have 5 months for it to heal do to the decay of the bomb. He only got to gotham 1 day before it was going to explode so that might have given him long enough to recover.

Well seeing as how only a litle girl has ever escaped the place in all of its existence, I'm guessing plenty of people have given up hope. The whole point of that prison was to give the prisoners enough hope to destroy them.

I will jump in this conversation as as I saw it last night, only read the last page so I'm sure this is redundant at this point.

The movie was definitely good and I think I will like it a lot more upon second viewing, but initially, it seems weaker than TDK. Mainly bc the Joker really was a badass villain and Bane was never going to top him.

The stock market thing was dumb and I think Bruce Wayne even thought so as he had almost no reaction to losing his money.

I REALLY wish they hadn't shown the football scene/national anthem in the previews. I think this scene would have been awesome had we not known it was coming.

One of the things that always bothered me with these movies is the lack of bullet use which catwoman says multiple times. I understand its a movie bla bla bla it's just hard to really accept everything when you know Bane would have been shot a long time ago irl.

I think they should have killed Alfred/had him in a hostage situation and the movie would have been infinitely better. Missed opportunity IMO.

I actually thought Fox was going to bite the bullet for a bit there.

I'm guessing another reason they've avoided showing people being shot is for audience purposes. Just because Nolan's batman is darker I doubt the stuido wants to completely cut out children attending. Like not showing Talia gun down those cops, that may have been edited out.

I agree with what the guy from last night was saying in this thread, at the end when he's flying the bomb out toward the bay, it does appear to look like he goes underwater, with the reflections in the cockpit.

That makes 3 people who have noticed this

this was the most egregious of all the mistakes Nolan made in this one.

Well, some of that has to do with keeping the PG-13 rating probably. Like in TDK, Gamble face getting sliced up by the Joker wasn't shown, but you still feel that "holy shite, gruesome" emotion without seeing it.

That's not really a mistake.
