Just as I predicted after I read the sites that predicted that.

Well its basically where I had it after the Friday numbers came in.

Due to it not having a big Sat/Sun bump I'm sticking with the $28 million at best to $25 million on the low end for weekend 3.

Didn't this movie set up Darkseid? They have to do him or it seems stupid.

I am for a JL / Darkseid tilt.

My favorite JL villains would be the Royal Flush Gang, the Crime Syndicate, and the white martians.

All hard to do. Darkseid seems a little easier to me and grander.

I think 1 bad guy is plenty for a movie. Especially Darkseid. I agree you dont kill him in the movie. He should be a bad guy in multiple movies like Darth Vader.

The Atlantis storyline doesn't seem as appealing to me personally.

Not necessarily. Tons of Marvel movies have teased Thanos but that doesn't mean that that has to be the next villain. Darkseid will come, whether it's in this movie or the next.

So we're too stupid to get everything Synder was trying to do with this film and now we might not even get the villain teased throughout this movie? So did I watch this movie so I would be set up for a movie five years from now?

I would love to see Aquaman in a large role in the JL movie but not if Synder is just trying to do a swerve.

Would they really do another heroes battle before joining together for real threat?

But, isn't that what Marvel has done? What's wrong with going deeper into the universe before playing your big card?

Because your big card becomes that guy that sits in the chair at the end of each movie and the audience loses interest.

Have people lost interest in Marvel movies?

They gave a soft tease of Thanos during the set up of the MCU. They showed he has been behind several things but they never steered people into a hard tease.

BvS went hard with Darkseid. Now they can still swerve and not do Darkseid but they need to explain the visions and add on who is coming. But they threw a number of teases for one villain.

All they teased was the symbol. Everything else in the movie may have come from other aspects. It's not a swerve as much as it is just telling more of the story, IMO. Thanos made an appearance in the Avengers after the credits and we still haven't seen him (besides that brief appearance in GotG).

It's funny how people say "Oh, DC went too fast". "They showed too much too fast". Then in the same breath they say "No Darkseid in the next movie?". There's nothing wrong with exploring the universe a little before you bring in the big gun. Marvel has proven that to be successful.

It's no longer a big deal to see Thanos. He's like Dr. Claw on Inspector Gadget.

How will DC sustain in the long haul? How will they top Darkseid? It'll be all ejaculation and no foreplay. They'll have to reboot shite again.

Go big now. I don't want to wait until 2026 to see Darkseid.

OK. Now that's the DC/WB way of thinking right there.
