As much as everyone hates Third Sister, I think this show will become beloved if Vader chokes her arse down at the end. Even moreso, if he narrates to her as he does it.

That would be nice. But all of my friends who watch this show are teetering on giving up on it. It's starting to feel like the last season of GOT. We are all hooked on the characters but the writing and direction of the story is laughably bad.

I'll say the same thing I said after the first episode, hopefully it gets better.

That escape tunnel was crazy confusing how did Reva get there before Leia.

Because Reva is the most important character in the series. As I said earlier Disney wanted and knew people would hate this character. Her character sux and is taking away from the series.

2. I don't like Vader and OWK having at least one confrontation between Mustafar and the Death Star. I prefer the Death Star to be their first meeting since Mustafar and that's the impression I get from watching their duel in A New Hope.

This 1000%. By having the two meet and fight again, it completely changes the arc of that confrontation (and not for the better).

There was one good line in the episode. When Vader said, "I am what you made me." They should have stopped right there.

If it doesn’t get better (making a New Hope dialogue make sense), if they truly killed off the grand inquisitor retconning Rebels, I’m just going to pretend this series doesn’t exist.

Rupert Friend, who plays the Grand Inquisitor, is listed on IMDB as appearing in 5 episodes. He's already been in two, so it looks like he's back for the last three.

Couple of things I noticed: Zach Braff was in the credits and I think played a stormtrooper.

Braff was Freck the transport driver. When I first heard him speak I thought it was Seth Rogen.

I agree. the whole force and fire bit I wasnt a fan of. Weird to think if that lady doesnt show up that OBI just gets a brutal death.

I hate that the lightsabers spark now and the color was intensified. The Vader/OBI dialogue was pretty solid though. Vader is definitely powerful and Obi has lost it and I do like that part being shown.

Something has to happen that forces Ben to stop being fearful. He wasnt fearful in 4, but is now. He has to get his force connect back

I thought it was a great episode, people need to stop nip picking every little thing and just enjoy it.

They clearly get off on the nitpicking (though nip picking would be fun as well ).

Once could, solidly, make the arrangement that Kenobi is the most powerful jedi ever, or at least the most skilled with a light Saber. He defeated Anikin at Anikin's peak. How has he fallen so far in the last 5/6 years?

Disney is both the question and the answer.

He handles Maul easily in Rebels and is 10 years older. He gets his groove back

Maybe he has a high level fear of direct fire now (like the Hound in GoT). It would certainly be understandable

He has literally stood in the lava on Mustafar so I think the motivation is something different.

I'm not sure Disney is paying attention to cannon at this point.

It is set up to allow a female character to push Kenobi to his limits and unlock the potential

That female character is none other than Leia.

She will find the force without any training and deliver a speech that will awaken Kenobi

Isn't that supposed to be Mace Windu?

I think the reasonable answer to that is Reva would have known the likely place for her to come out would be near the spaceport. If she came out anywhere else she would still be stuck on the planet and although Reva would have missed her Leia would still be corraled on the planet. I don't think Reva chased her through the tunnels she just went directly to the spaceport because she had no reason to be stealthy.

One would assume the hammer is Chekhov's gun.

And if this happens, it will reinforce my whole complaint about this series so far: The lack of understating or caring about the impact of these events on how we watch and understating the movies that came before this series.

For example, how does Obi Wan fighting Vader last night change the impact of this line:

I've been waiting for you, Obi-Wan. We meet again, at last. The circle is now complete. When I left you I was but the learner. Now, I am the master.

HUGELY. The above is one of the most important lines for story arc in Episodes III and IV. As much as the prequels left a somewhat sour taste in my mouth, at least they understood the arc of the movies that preceded them.

Example 2: If Leia finds the force how does that change the impact of this line/scene in Episode VI?

Leia: You have a power I don't understand and could never have.
Luke Skywalker: You're wrong, Leia. You have that power too.

How could she utter that line truthfully if she becomes force sensitive?

But with all that said, I think you're right about how it plays out.

No it’s not. He’s very much a calculated villain in the original films. Not a psychopath.

It is absolutely in his character. Sure he is calculated, but in the end he is still an evil Sith lord. He has no problem killing anyone he feels that he needs to. Plus, he was killing those people not for amusement, but in an attempt to draw Obi-Wan out.

I understand where you coming from, and I didn't say it was right, I just said you could make a solid argument.

But Obi Wan beat Darth Maul (twice), general grievous and Anakin. That's a solid list.
