I’ve lost interest heavily with Damon as Odysseus. Just unfortunate. Nolan can’t help himself.

This will probably be him at Troy. The practical set they built of Troy is huge.

I’m sticking with my prediction that Bernthal will play Achilles in the beginning or a flashback.

What's wrong with Damon?

The last rumor I heard was Tom Holland as a younger Odysseus and Damon as the weathered, older Odysseus but that rumor is just weird to me. Holland as Telemachus makes way way more sense.

No. Theirs is an interesting take, but The Odyssey perfected? No.

Overexposure and sticking out like a sore thumb. I love Damon. Period pieces of the distant past aren’t his forte. He was extremely mediocre in Last Duel. He can’t do accents. Hopefully they don’t have him try one again.

Because that group doesn’t read. When they’re not rage-sturbating to cable news, they’re watching TV shows and movies. So this board becomes inundated with their idiocy.

Overexposure

It kinda seems like he took a little break and hadn't been a lead in as many films as he used to be lately

You may have a point here. I don't think they are going to do accents. If they were they would have just hired all British Actors since that seems to be the Hollywood accent of choice for period pieces set in ancient times

I gave up on Nolan after sitting through the boring slogfest garbage that was Dunkirk. He's really gone downhill as a director since Inception.

Interstellar and Oppenheimer were post-Inception Interstellar is a goddamn masterpiece.

The Dark Knight Rises was post-Inception as well, but people are mixed on that one more than they should be.

And Dunkirk was pretty good and original, so your whole post aggravates me

His casting choices can be great or really suck something awful. The casting alone in this movie makes me not want to see it. Feels like a bunch of supporting actors missing a great main actor. Interstellar without McConaughey, Oppenheimer without Murphy, Batman without Bale.

I think Bale actually would have been a great choice for Odysseus.

Feels like everything happened really quick with this move. I just hear about this maybe being Nolan’s next movie in October and they’re already filming??

And they already have a supposedly massive Troy set built?
