The only people doing that are the Snyder weirdos that simp for a guy that had no understanding of the character (because they don't either)
I’m neither a Snyder bro or an uber comic nerd. Just give us a good effort on the story. I am skeptical about James being able to ‘crack the code’ for Superman though. And many others are as well.

YouTubers who grew up with and owned comic book stores? YouTubers who have been in Hollywood for 30 years and know the business? YouTubers who are actual authors of their own published stories? YouTubers who review movies for a living and will watch more in a week than anyone on this board will in a year?
Those guys?
What were your views on The Creator? Black Adam? RRR? The Northman?
Please, do tell.

Really enjoyed this one.

I think I'd have enjoyed The Northman more had I not seen the first few seasons of Vikings.
Point being though, I saw all of these, and more, and didn't need to rely on any YouTuber to tell me what to think. In fact, I think I liked Northman less than some, though it was darn good. Probably need to rewatch.

Having that locked in with no last minute panic reshoots a la F4 seems to be an encouraging sign that they have a movie they are happy with a couple months out.

What is wrong with James Gunn's Superman is a question that bubbled up this week, with reports of the movie losing and gaining a composer, losing and gaining an editor, and other sky-is-falling-down town crier yells on social media.
Here’s what we know: The movie had three days of picks up in Atlanta but no major reshoots. John Murphy started as the composer, providing the John Williams-inspired electric guitar riff, and David Fleming was brought in as an additional composer early on this year. Both of their music will be in the movie, as well as plenty of Williams tones.
And there have been a few test screenings. “I’m no defender of Gunn, but none of this is unusual,” says one source with knowledge of the inner workings of DC. “It’s part of honing of the movie. Any movie.”
Another person close to the production echoed the sentiment. “Gunn absolutely tests, he absolutely tinkers. He’s not one of those directors who can’t take suggestions," this person says.
Studio sources say that Gunn is due to deliver a final and locked movie next Friday. That’s five weeks before its July 11 release date and a sign of studio satisfaction.

They're really, really good at tracking once presales start. But this is just a guess at the moment. I would hold off on getting excited by this news.

I’ve seen so many clickbait snippets to crap “News” sites claiming major edits, firings, rescoring, reshoots, etc. I know people in here bemoan the studio fed positive first reviews, but there are a lot of sites that do the opposite.

It’s Marvel fanboys and Snyder fanboys.

Whatever, I just want a good, fun, entertaining Superman movie that gets the character right.
If it does those things it will make plenty enough money and be a "success"

It'll do well. The Michael Bay story was the best part of the article. Good thing for DC that it never happened

It was behind a paywall, but now I'm able to see it

“Superman” is the first film in a 10-year plan of interconnected films and TV shows that Gunn and Safran have planned to rival Marvel’s MCU, one they laid out when they first took over as co-CEOs of DC Studios at the behest of Zaslav in 2022.
The rub, of course, is that Gunn is not just the co-head of this entire DC universe but also directly responsible for the film, and if “Superman” underperforms, the larger plans face significant challenges.
“Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow” — directed by journeyman filmmaker Craig Gillespie and slated for release in 2026 — is the only other DC movie currently guaranteed, as it completed production earlier this year.
Given the previous DCEU’s (DC Extended Universe) commercial shortcomings, and underwhelming results for the 2023 release “The Flash,” DC Studios appears to be taking a cautious approach to expanding beyond Batman. “Outside of anything Batman-related, DC will most likely wait to react to how ‘Superman’ performs before deciding on which superhero from their library to tackle next,” the DC insider told TheWrap. “Greenlighting ‘Supergirl’ may seem risky, but it extends the new universe they are trying to establish and shows a commitment to the larger brand.”

That's one of many things that pissed me off about Man of Steel. Pa Kent shouldn't want Clark to keep his powers hidden. He should tell Clark "Son, I believe you ought to help people whenever you can. That's what I was always taught."

I feel this COULD be good... but it seems like there are so many other characters that this movie might be too watered down or too much in to come together in the end, i mean how many different things was he fighting in this trailer... 5 or 6.... I hope im wrong.
