It's just an apprehensive attitude toward the same kind of preachy bullshite that helped to make the prequels so crappy.
See...this is my biggest problem with your insistence on hammering this point. Of all the reasons for why the prequels sucked their own dicks, never in a million years would I have pointed towards "preachy bullshite" as one of them.
How about redefining what the frick The Force is into some kind of damn virus or something after Obi Wan had laid it out perfectly in about 10 seconds of dialog back in his god damn hut on Tatooine?
How about the fact that almost none of the movies took place on a damn set?
Jar Jar anyone? Casting not one but TWO shitty actors to portray young Darth Vader?
And on, and on, and on...
I'd argue your actual point with you, but to what end? You are essentially sounding like the type of person that bitches about seeing a commercial on TV that features two women as a couple or an interracial couple and proclaim, "I'm tired of having to see this on TV! They're jamming it down our throats!1!!11" without bothering to acknowledge that the only reason that commercial stands out at all is because EVERY OTHER ONE features what you consider to be correct. You're not being bombarded with anything...you're mad you have to see even the tiniest of things which you don't agree with.
Which brings us to Star Wars. For frick's sake...looking back, isn't it odd that there are only two types of beings in this galaxy far, far away? What we on Earth would consider aliens (Wookies, Jawas, Sandpoeple, Jaba, etc) and white people. With the only notable exception being Lando Motherfricking Calresian, every other character is some white person. Doesn't that seem...I don't know...odd to you? That we get aliens and humanoids...but all humanoids are white?
So...where you seem to consider making a point to diversify the humanoid characters as some PC bullshite, I see it as doing what should have been common sense from the fricking beginning. The humanoids in the movie are our gateway into the universe. They are "us." The problem with that is that there are PLENTY of people on Earth who are not that, so excluding them from the universe makes no sense at all. In fact, leaving them out would be the thing that seems forced at this point.
This is actually one thing Gene Ronddenberry understood and got right back in Star Trek TOS...

Wow. Look, man. I can tell you're really upset. Why don't you go down to the liquor store, buy a fine bottle of whiskey, go home and beat yourself to death with it.
And then snorted coke off of each other's dicks before getting some Filipino prostitutes to shove their whole arms up their asses and rub their knuckles up against their prostates (or whatever Hollywood people do with their free time).
Anyway, I didn't care that The Matrix had mostly black people with all white villains (although maybe I should have).
As for Star Trek, I see a picture of a bunch of white guys, one Asian guy and one black woman.

Some new stuff from an Empire cover story,
Kylo Ren Is Not A Sith
Kylo Ren Is Not A Sith
quote:
From the moment Kylo Ren first ignited his vicious-looking broadsaber in the first teaser for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, fans have speculated about the true nature of the character, this mysterious Knight Of Ren. Why is his lightsaber so ragged? Why is his title not 'Darth'? The answer to the latter, it turns out, is actually very simple, as some fans had already surmised. "Kylo Ren is not a Sith," confirms JJ Abrams in the new issue of Empire. "He works under Supreme Leader Snoke, who is a powerful figure on the Dark Side of the Force.”
Snoke, you will recall, is a performance-captured digital character played by Andy Serkis, who can be heard growling the voiceover on the first teaser. Aside from shedding a little light on Ren’s origins, Abrams gave some background on the state of the universe when The Force Awakens begins, including the origins of the First Order, who are not quite the Imperial remnant many had taken them to be.
“That all came out of conversations about what would have happened if the Nazis all went to Argentina but then started working together again?’” Abrams reveals. “What could be born of that? Could The First Order exist as a group that actually admired The Empire? Could the work of The Empire be seen as unfulfilled? And could Vader be a martyr? Could there be a need to see through what didn’t get done?”

Am I the only one that still hates that lightsaber? Looks so stupid to me.

How does he avoid cutting his hand off if he needs to spin the saber?

Very carefully. We will find our in the movie.

Early prediction: Bad guy is a clone grown from Luke's hand.

He's got the right idea. He just put it on the wrong end.

You sound like a whiny, easily offended little bitch to me.
God help your children if they ever bring a black SO home.

He'll probably slap the shite out of his daughter and tell her to stop forcing her social agendas on him

So Supreme Leader Snoke is the main bad guy and Ren works for him. Awesome
Any idea what Snoke looks like?

Nothing has been released yet. I'm guessing we'll get our first look when the first full length trailer is released.

100% agree with elprez. I just went from six to midnight.
I can't contain my excitement for this movie.

I read that Snoke is supposed to look like a reptile. Older reports said he was supposed to be a corpse brought back to life though (possibly Plagues). Makingstarwars.net has the up to date spoilers.
