First scene Trump wins, she freaks. Second scene pussy hats, third scene Nazis are in control. Not good.

From my recollection, in the old days the show was clearly left leaning, but it wasn't the primary driver of the show.. It was the interaction with the characters, right?

Those late Bush/Clinton years were actually kind of made fun of both sides - see SNL in those days.

OG Murphy Brown wasn't my favorite, but it was a good show.

However, I knew exactly where the new show would be going and I don't need to waste my time.

Pretty much what I expected, so I didn’t add it to TiVo. I don’t have any interest in political sitcoms. I can watch the news for that.

They specifically said politics are the reason this is getting rebooted.

If Hillary had won they wouldn't be doing this.

They have publicly stated this.

MB like the "new" Roseanne will die a quick ratings death. Nothing worse than a comedy that isn't funny

Liberal publications have said the same thing about it. Nobody wants an all politics all the time sitcom. People are generally sick of it. It’s not funny like the original. The original was left-leaning put threw punches both directions, was smart, and FUNNY. I liked the original. I have no interest in a show that’s perpetual Trump sky-screaming. The Jimmys do enough of that on late night.

The first run of her show was pretty political, so it shouldn't be a surprise.

Let me get this straight...a show sucks...they wait 20 years for a reboot...and that reboot sucks. Didn't see that coming.

The problem with the original was the least funny character on the show was Candice Bergen. But at least she was MILFy attractive. No one wants to watch a 70-something unfunny overactor.

I never really watched the original much. I just remember it had a political tinge to it when I did. Seems like it was more along the lines of Designing Women in its politicalness. Not outright towards politicians, but more about current social issues, and left leaning in that regard. But that's on a limited body of evidence. My memory may also be tainted by the single mom issue, and how Dan Quayle and many republicans at the time reacted. It's what started the Family Values platform of the Republican party.

It’s one episode which I doubt you watched and you know it’s not funny. Most shows take time to hit their stride.

Your pronouncement is a bit ridiculous.

I tried to watch it this morning and shut it off. I enjoyed the original as it was actual satire.

Hollywood, we get it, you hate the president. Now come up with some new shtick.
