Bam is a fricking mess right now. He really went off the edge when Dunn died.

The great irony of all this is that the Jackass movie may have been correct in that Steve-O would outlive them all, when outsiders thought he'd almost certainly be the first to go.

He's slowly turning into a carbon copy of his dad. I guess it's to be expected.

It makes sense that the Jackass crew would riff-off the real life Action Park - where broken bones and deaths were common back in the 1980's.

The park's popularity went hand-in-hand with a reputation for poorly designed, unsafe rides; under-aged, under-trained, and often under-the-influence staff; intoxicated, unprepared visitors; and a consequently poor safety record. At least six people are known to have died as a result of mishaps on rides at the original park.

It was given nicknames such as "Traction Park", "Accident Park", and "Class Action Park" by doctors at nearby hospitals due to the number of severely injured customers they treated. Little action was taken by state regulators despite a history of repeat violations.

In its later years, personal injury lawsuits led to the closure of more and more rides, and eventually the entire park.

Was listening to Steve O on a Joe Rogan podcast from 2 years ago and he mentioned something about wanting to make a movie similar to Bad Grandpa. I wonder if this was the one he was pitching. It was an outstanding podcast by the way, basically 3 hours of all sort of crazy stories from his life. Apparently he came on JR's show again but i havent listened to that one yet.

Action Park was the original Jackass but not on purpose.

This was actually a slide at Action Park:

LINK

From a rider:

I vividly remember the sensation of my feet going up as I realized "Here comes the loop!" I remember being ecstatic when I had cleared the pinnacle of the loop, however the worst was yet to come. Apparently my sub 100 lbs. body was not heavy enough for the ride and rather the sticking to the slide on the back end of the loop, I actually fell to the bottom of the loop. I smacked the back of my head on the slide and was nearly knocked unconscious.

It was then I saw light as I sputtered out of the exit of the tube [...] I was able to orient myself enough to get to my feet and smile with pride as the stunned crowd cheered for the little kid who just went down the most dangerous water slide of all time. It was closed again within minutes and although I went to the park a dozen times after that day I never saw that slide opened again.

Pretty sure insiders thought he would be the first to go as well.

Thanks for bringing up Action Park. I had never heard of it. The Wiki page for it is a hilarious read.

Actually, they all thought Dave England was going to be the first to kick the bucket. Maybe they did that because Dave England was certainly the most hated member of Jackass by other members of the crew. They felt bad for some of the crap that they had the other members of the crew do, but no one ever felt remotely bad for Dave England.
