Singer said in a recent interview that the title would be X-Men: Days of Future Past, a nod toward a storyline in the comics that ran in the early 80s. It would certainly fit in with Singer’s claim that the sequel’s story is bold and ambitious, as the comics involve alternate timelines and a dystopian future in addition to meaty social conflicts like internment camps and assassinations.

Bryan Singer: I can say it’s being written right now and it will start shooting in a few months. It’s going to be very ambitious. It’s called Days of Future Past and it deals with aspects of that comic but also some very new things.

Singer also commented on the interesting notion that, since the storyline involves two X-Men timelines blending together, the sequel might actually involve a cross-over from Singer’s previous films.Singer: I think there’s a strong desire to broaden out the universe. The X-Men universe on its own is every bit as big as the Marvel universe and I think it’s time to reach out and explore it and perhaps even bring some connectivity between the films, as Marvel’s done so well. You may see some of that, I don’t know.

This could be great as that storyline is a classic, what say you?

I'm excited about the Days of Future Past storyline, but not necessarily the crossover with the previous movies.

I would definitely think so. It will be interesting to see how they include him into the film.

The Days of Future Past X-Men issues, are literally the reason I started reading comic books as a kid. That story line is sacred to me. Can't wait to see it on the big screen, but I'll probably have a bunch of issues with it.

You've got to have Wolverine in it, but Jackman would have to literally walk from the Wolverine sequel's set one day, and start DFP the next. He's gonna get pretty burned out on Wolverine.

I'm sure he'll be compensated well for his troubles.

I can't believe they've made 5 X-Men movies and Sentinels haven't made an appearance in any of them (the 1 sec "cameo" in X3 doesn't count).

I'd think that'd have to be a $20 million plus role.

Damn, he'll probably get a bunch more then. I wasn't saying he wasn't gonna get his, or that it's not worth it (hey, I'm not payin it), I was really just sayin it's good to be Hugh Jackman.

Yep playing Wolverine has probably made him 9 figures.
