The thing with Burr is his Archie Bunker routine is all an act. The guy is from Boston, for fricks sake. He's NOT some right leaning guy. Way back in 2019 or so as he started getting more talkative about political issue on his podcast, he straight up said, "Look...Trump is a fricking racist. I'm not arguing with you guys about it any more." He's married to a pretty outspoken and not unpolitical black woman and no has two interracial kids. Add to that, he's been sucking at Hollywood's teat for a decade or so now and has ZERO interest in overturning that apple cart. You could see that when he kept his fricking mouth shut about Gina Carano getting fired while Pedro Pascal posted MUCH worse things but was applauded by Disney because they fell in line with their viewpoints.
Don't get me wrong, I think he's been one of the best of all time and I'm glad I got to see him live in New Orleans right before the pandemic bullshite hit back in January of 2020, but this is not exactly surprising to me.

His biggest appeal is(was?) being a straight talk, tell it like it is, frick PC comedian in a world that has gone bat shite crazy. Even to the level of being potentially cancel proof.
If he’s not that, if he’s just towing the leftist PC line, then he’s not very funny and largely irrelevant.

The Rittenhouse stuff was spot on. The opening was actually pretty funny. That Wolf chick sucked. Carr and mullet were good, then I turned it off.

He still is, but him speaking truth doesn’t always align with right wing viewpoints, so naturally those people are starting to turn on him.

I'd say you misunderstand my point, but it's more likely you're just attempting to score some internet points.
In case you're unaware, roughly 90% of black people still vote in lockstep with one party. That's unfortunate, but it's a reality. His wife is clearly a lefty as I've heard to her ramble on about social and political issues on many occasions. Given many of the things she's said, and given Burr himself has gone all in on various "everyone on that side is racist" themes, it would stand to reason that him having two kids who will likely self identify as black rather than interracial when they are older, would get him leaning even further to his left.
The most important reason I think is his clear desire to be a movie actor. Even if he did harbor feelings on the right (which I doubt) he's never going to speak up and jeopardize that sweet Hollywood cash.

I live in America in 2022 and I honestly can not think of any high profile interracial (black/white) people who talk about themselves as interracial instead of just black. And I'm not sure I can think of any that have ever identified as white. Can you? So, it's an educated assumption.

You'd have to go back to my first post about why I mentioned that Burr was a Lefty. People seem to think that his Archie Bunker routine is true, when in reality it's as much an act as is Larry the Cable Guy. Burr's not "woke" like a guy like Patton Oswald is obviously, but he's without a doubt 100% a social lefty who has decided to toe the line to stay hirable in Hollywood. Dude grew up in the Boston area, moved in NYC and then LA. Why would anyone think he's on the Right?
None of that bothers me, btw. As I said in the first post, he's clearly one of the greatest of all time and I never thought he believed the things I do. I was just pointing out why it should have been obvious to all that he was not some right leaning voice many think he is.
