How can you not have 8 Mile on this list? It really is a great movie!

Eh mildly entertaining. Just a movie about white trash. I thought it was going to be a lot bigger than what it was.

Also, "Only the Strong" is now on Instant!!! BA-NA-NAWAAAAYYYYYY!!!!
That's the name of that movie! Could not remember it for the life of me, kept trying to tell friends about it and would say I thought it was "Best of the Best".

Thank you for doing this thread.
here is a list of ones I have recently watched and what I thought of them.
50 Dead Men Walking-true story that was set in the worst of times during the conflict that went in Northern Ireland. Ben Kingly, Jim Sturgess & Rose McGowan. Kingly at his very best. You will find yourself pulling for Sturgess' character. The IRA figures in this movie make the ones in Sons of Anarchy look tame.
The Assignment-espionage thriller that is a true story with Aden Quinn, Ben Kingsly and Donald Sutherland. Kingsly had the smallest role of the three. Quinn the largest Sutherland did the best j0b with his recruiter role. Was excited to watch this movie having just seen the previous, obviously similar, movie with Kingsly.
This one disappointed so I might suggest that if you plan to watch them both, see it first.
Holy Rollers-don't let the name fool you. It is not a comedy. Young cast includes Jessee Eisenberg, and Justin Bartha. It is the story of a young Hasidic Jew who smuggles drugs. You see him grow up while enjoying the spoils and enduring the pitfalls of his professi0n.
The Train-WWII version of Emperor of the North. It is Burt Lancaster fighting Nazis to keep a train full of paintings in France at the end of the war.
Clay Pigeons-A young, innocent looking Joaquin Phoenix having sex with every good looking girl in a one horse town. It's a murder mystery with Janeane Garofalo playing the investigating FBI agent. Vince Vaughn in a very believable cowboy role. Good if you haven't seen it in a while.
Deceiver-Tim Roth being interrogated after the murder of a prostitute by a cop partnership consisting of Chris Penn and Michael Rooker. Roth is taking a polygraph though most of this movie. It definitely has a twisty plot.
Vice-Dity cop movie that has you wondering "Who is the dirtiest". Michal Madsen, Daryl Hannah & Myketti Willamson. Hannah must have bee told she'd win an Oscar to dress up and play this non-glamorous role.
Who'll Stop the Rain-Good ole hippie, drug movie starring Nick Nolte, Tuesday Weld & Michael Moriarty. Great soundtrack pays while Nolte pegs the anti-hero role of his lifetime.
Iowa-Small town couple decides to cook meth to make enough money to get out of Hooterville. Plenty of partying and sex in this one. Staring Matt Farnsworth, Diane Foster and Rosanna Arquette playing Farnsworth’s mom.
Quid Pro Quo-Nick Stahl as a paraplegic public radio announcer who is trying to cover a story aabut "wannabe paraplegics". Not all of these wbp's are into it for sexual reasons but some seem to be. Weird one that can cause some discomfort, even if you are watching it by yourself.
No Vacancy-cheap motel life in sunny Southern California. Stars Christina Ricci and Timothy Olyphant in some pretty silly roles and situations. Lighthearted comedy includes hookers, drugs, pimps, health food nuts and other seedy characters who are all staying in an old motor court style one story motel.
More reviews on page 24 & 31.

Will get to them when I have a second, I see a few are no longer on instant and they are dvd only. Not sure how I forgot them since I've been pretty good about updating.
I am gonna try and go through the drama/thrillers and organize them by Crime Drama/Thriller, Horror Drama/Thriller, etc and give us some better grouping.

Probably not a bad idea. You're doing a good job with it.

Put this in drama. It's anything but a noir.
