Sick trailer. Great use of Stairway to Heaven. Gerwig knows how to put on a visual show.

I mean that looked....very good.

The world building looked pretty exquisitely done.

Guess they changed the timeframe? That setting is way too late for the books.

It was published 5ish years after The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. It's a prequel /origin story.

Read all of them chronologically last year and it's decent. Don't think The Magicians Nephew has ever really been adapted. unless the movies from years ago included some of it in the story.

Can't wait!

I hope they do each of the stories.

I've been dyinggggggggggg to see a version of the Last Battle.

So if this is good then I will be stoked to see the last novel

Mine too. The books were great but don't remember the movies being so. Have to rewatch/reread at some point it's been a while.

I am mildly excited about it now.

I’m not sure about the Technicolor Dream Coat whimsy colors, but it could be good.

I’m also generally suspect of using modern music in things like this.

While Stairway to Heaven is amazing (and the use of it in this trailer was excellent), Aslan singing like Robert Plant isn’t really jibing with the tone of the book.

That said, I’ll take it over Meryl Streep singing fricking ABBA as Aslan.

It hasn't been. People have always said it isn't possible to adapt it due to it being a creation story.

I guess we'll see if this movie is any good. Given the casting of Aslan, I doubt it, but at least they put out a good trailer.

Yea, so it should be set around 1900. Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe is set during WW2. Digory, who is a boy in this one, is the old man in LWW.

Oh sorry I thought you meant the Narnia parts. Yes, I do believe they moved the "real world" timeline forward.
