I'm pretty satisfied with how season 2 went for the most part. Damn good television to watch.
The only complaint I have is that Breslin should've made it a priority to go after Calderoni at the end. He may have gotten Felix in the end but he's still a dirty cop that killed a quite a few people including one of Breslin's own guys and a potential witness/informant and he has to pay the price for that.
Oh and it was absolute bullshite how the FBI guys treated Breslin like shite concerning Acosta and gave him absolutely no benefit of the doubt whatsoever. It's a great example of why and how the public at large hates the FBI.

Miguel Angel Felix Gallardo held all those gangsters together as a whole way longer than anyone should have been able to
He would've held them for an even longer time if he didn't get greedy and try to bite off more than he could chew, made important decisions with the input and authorization of the bosses and made sure they were happy and not beating the shite out of each other.
Instead, Felix took them for granted, made HUGE decisions without them and actually physically and financially harmed those bosses and people important to them on a whim.
Felix a good example of why CEO's job security depends on keeping the board of directors and the company's shareholders happy and not royally pissed off and unfortunately for Felix, he was too arrogant to understand and respect that.

Finished it tonight...was good but not as great as the other seasons for me. Also, anyone in Mexico trying to be in charge is never going to happen. The Columbians are always going to be in charge because they have the product.

Just finished it. I liked this season. Can’t wait to see Chapo’s rise to power. He keeps getting underestimated.

I think at that point Calderoni was protecting the interests of government still....I'm not sure at that point he was aware of the true rule that the Salinas government played in Mexican drug trafficking. Although its also likely he was on the payroll of Jaurez or Sinoloa by that point as well (maybe both). It's hard to tell by whom but he definitely had protection.

Still works that way today with the Bureau based on what we've seen.

I think the craziest thing here is that Gallardo is still alive in prison....I wonder if he has real protection or if the plazas (cartels now) still respected him enough to let him be as long as he kept his mouth shut (which he has done an incredible job of even in his "memoirs").

Felix Gallardo had his life saved by getting arrested. When Salinas began auctioning off the nationalized companies,he ends up way down the food chain. The billionaires that Salinas created out stripped the cartels almost overnight.
If you think what they did to fix the election in 1987 was underhanded and the height of corruption, what they did to prevent Donaldo Colosio from being President should have led to violent bloody revolution in 1993

Another excellent season from Netflix's most consistent title.

Please baby Jesus tell me they’re making a Season 3!?!?!?

fricking love narcos. Currently on episode 7. Figured this season would be slower to set up for the mayhem that’s sure to come next season with chapo and all the cartels fighting.

Just finished the season. I enjoyed it, but thought there was going to be more violence, and action to it. Instead it was a nice slow burn of a season that appears to have set the stage for a bloody chaotic third season.
I might be in the minority, but I feel like they really fricked up casting that actor as el chapo. To me he just sort of comes across as a goofy caricature, and considering that his role is obviously set to expand given what we know, it just seems like a misstep from the people behind the show. they’ve made some solid casting decisions throughout, but this one feels off to me. Diego Luna & Scoot McNairy are great. I also really like the guy that plays Amado, but my surprise favorite character from the season was Pablo Acosta, and the actor that played him.

The Mexican carrels basically run the whole cocaine industry now. Colombian carrels are small potatoes.

Yea if you can handle subtitles that's a good watch on Netflix too.

I wonder if season 3 if they are going to assassinate the bishop who the cartel thought was a rival cartel in the vehicle. I think that happened in 1993. When they killed the bishop was e moment Mexico said ok enough is enough and cracked down on the cartels.
