I did not like 5th Element. I cant name 100 movies I've enjoyed more from the last 15 years.

SFP. You're a good man.

I was the only one to vote 5th Element as my number one movie for the 90's (MWADS).

There are people out there that have seen this movie literally a hundred times.

I have never seen a movie that blends so many genres together in the manner it does. I love the action and the humor. The plot never wanes either. Everything about this movie is, just like LeeLoo, perfect. I am wanting to watch this again now.

I'll probably get ridiculed for this, but I have to go with Princess Bride for most fun movie ever.

Not everyone gets to have valid opinions on movies.

Disliking 5th Element is like saying you don't like happiness.

i can see a segment of "too cool" kids not liking it, b/c it wasn't serious or edgy enough

these are like the "EXTREME" guys in harold and kumar...they have their private indulgences

but there are very few things that make me question humanity like hearing somebody say they don't like the 5th element

how depraved do you have to be?

This discussion solidifies the fact that Luc Besson makes memorable, and lasting movies.

you see he doesn't always make great movies

i mean, he has the messanger, transporter 1/2/3, hitman and kiss of the dragon on his resume

he makes stylish films, but sometimes REALLY loses the movie in the process

I agree that he isn't consistent. But Angel-A, The Fifth Element, The Professional, La Femme Nikita , The Big Blue are all great well received films. His stylishness is one of the reasons I love him as a director.

when restrained and focused, it can be awesome

lots of french directors fall victim to the style bug

it's not as fun, but it's almost as fun on that same level.
