Mt wife doesn't love these movies, but she was willing to watch and laughed. I think first goofy movie was Airplane and I got excited that she actually thought it was funny. The Holy Grail made her laugh, but she tired quickly of me walking around saying "Nee!" and complaining about some farcical aquatic ceremony.

They're not really chick movies. You have to have a warped sense of humor to really enjoy them. The show had funnier moments IMO. The dictionary scene where he was trying to buy cigarettes comes to mind.

Every year in high school I asked for the box of flying circus. Never got it. Dad bought it for himself years later

My wife does not appreciate stupid humor either. It's really sad. The first time I watched Monty Python and the Holy Grail is one of the hardest times I've ever laughed in my life. The movie is just non stop absurdity in the best way.

It really is overrated.

How? Where?
It's one of the greatest movies of all time, especially if you stop watching before the very end, which is bad.

That line and the delivery always killed me.

When my wife asks me a question and the answer is three (like how many tablespoons of whatever should I put in is) I'll sometimes break out those lines with the accent.

Her looks of displeasure are so rewarding.
