Perry Cox is one of my favorite TV characters ever. His delivery is perfect every episode.

His "Here is a prescription for two testicles" he gives to JD had me nearly pissing in my pants... And should be used by doctors to their annoying interns throughout the whole country...

Not to mention the calling JD by a girls name. The fact that he never used the same one the whole series until one of the later ones was awesome

Not only had fantastic characters on the show (love Dr Cox and an Ted kills me) but one of the best soundtracks as well.
JD's brother was fantastic too.
The Steak Night episode is so great. The show could make you laugh and cry in the same episode.

Also loved Dr Cox's rants
When he is treating the guy with the sunburn and ripping off prescriptions saying "here's one for a mallet to pound some sense into your head, here's one for a giant hat and congratulations...you look like a purse"
I die laughing...

The scene with Dan & Dr Cox in the bathroom is fantastic.
Dr Cox: Let's break down the kid's support system. He's got me, and emotionally crippled narcissist, and he's got you, and emotionally crippled narcissist who is sitting in a tub of which by now has to be mostly your own urine.
Tom: I believe the ratio has shifted, yes.

Getting a dog in the next few months...one of the names on the list of potential names: Rowdy.
I named my dog rowdie, so you could say I'm a fan. My favorite episode was the one with the rabies organ transplants and the fray's how to save a life playing in the background. Good shite.

the way it utilizes music. I don't know of a show that better uses its soundtrack
Also one of my favorite parts of the show, my favorite music along with House. Therefore when Cox did his House impersonation it was the best.

I've made my opinions on Scrubs known on here many times.
I absolutely love the first few seasons. It's so damn funny and cathartic every episode.
I think it peaks when JD knocks up Elizabeth Banks. The writers make Carla and Elliot insufferable bitches. JD becomes flaming gay. Turk really carries the show towards the end.
Cox and Kelso are always awesome.
Definitely right in my top 10 sitcom list.

I kind of grew up on Scrubs and really love it, and while I find P&R and Community to be vastly superior shows still, I don't think the comparison is a fair one, because outside of being sitcoms, they are totally different tones and styles.
Still has the best finale of all time

This show was amazing. Almost considering not going to pharmacy school so I could go to nursing school just so I can work in a hospital even though it's nothing like the show

According to my buddy's dad (an MD), the show is closer to the real medical world than the rest of shows set in medicine.
While I recognize, objectively, that Scrubs is not the best show I've ever seen, it is my favorite. I related to this show on so many levels because my personality is, quite literally, a hybrid of JD and Turk. I am a sports-loving nerd and the show hit home on both fronts. The characters are great, the plot advances well, and the last season was incredible, especially the finale.
It's also so hard to compare it to Parks and Rec or any other medical show because it is comedic, but it's also a a heartfelt drama along the way. It pulled heartstrings better than any show I've watched (Cox reacting to Ben's death, his reaction to the perfect game miss, his reaction to the rabies transplants, JD's dad dying, Dan parts, etc.). Also, the dynamic between JD and Elliot is something that worked for me when normally I would hate the back and forth in a plot like that.
It's just a great watch all around. Talking about it makes me want to go watch them all again (for what would probably be the 4th or 5th time now

I'm with you. I just finished my 3rd rewatch and this thread is making me want to start all over. I may just settle for some a la carte episodes.

he episode when Ben dies made me and my wife cry. It really grabbed me by the heart. The whole time you are thinking Cox is just being an a-hole, and then you find out he is really having a full-blown mental and emotional breakdown. . .powerful stuff.
My Screw Up and and My Last Words are some of my favorite episodes of the series. I think that's really what makes the show so amazing, the ability to make you laugh and then one second later hit you right in the feels. Maybe I'm biased because I'm in medicine and it's my favorite show of all time, but I can't think of another sitcom that moves so seamlessly from comedy to punching you right in the gut.
