How could people in America not want to watch a show about a Muslim superhero?

We elected a Muslim superhero as president twice

I doubt that Marvel was banking on this being the next big thing. It brought in the demos that you'd assume.

Tried watching with my kids and they turned it off 10 minutes in. Just wasn’t good.

Maybe because it’s target demo was Gen Z who mostly are still living with their parents.

I think thats a lame explanation. it is the target demo (age-wise) as the rest of their marvel spin off series.

It’s taken a long time but finally think viewers are getting tired of marvel stuff. They need to take a long break.

We elected him once. He installed himself the second time

im not sure this is true. they just dont care about every spin off series as much as they get increasingly separated from the main marvel stuff and much more niche stories.

im just not sure marvel fatigue explains this when 2 months ago moonknight did rather well (and even increased over hawkeye and wandavision)...its mostly in line with everything not titled loki.

marvel will continue pumping stuff out and it will continue to be viewed. they just have duds every now and then and thats ok.

That's about right. I thought maybe WandaVision would do better but most comic book nerds are male so I probably should have seen that coming.

My feeling is the Ms Marvel character never took off as a comic and isn't likely to do well as a television or movie product. It just seems like a pet project of people who want "representation" in superhero products.

TBH I didn't even know it existed the first week it was out... and didn't watch it once I found out.

That's the definition of "finally getting tired of marvel stuff."

It does seem as if people are tiring out on Marvel shows, IMO.

It’s probably due to less adults tuning I to What looks like a very child oriented show.

Moon Knight was last month and had strong numbers.

I think they're doing way too much. It used to be 2-3 movies a year. Now you have movies and an endless amount of TV shows.

How is it lame? It’s clearly presented as a teen show which means the majority watching will be teens and since teens live at home with their parents the viewing will be skewed a bit. Of course Ms Marvel being a smaller name character doesn’t help either

Following the storyline through the movies is honestly all the bandwidth I can give them. I don’t need a constant stream of MCU content.
