Monk is chicken soup for the soul...TV comfort food for when you're feeling blue like Monk; redemptive mostly happy endings with upbeat Natalie at the end giving optimistic encouragement. Just a funny heartfelt, small cast wholesome show that are dinasours.

Agreed. Monk and Covid is a match made in heaven. I’m super excited for any new Monk, but also disappointed in no Psych - Monk Crossover.

Yes they did : Monk, White Collar, Psych, Burn Notice were all must watch TV for me. Was such a great run.

there was a time where every show was just a play on Sherlock Holmes
Monk: Sherlock Holmes with OCD
Psyche: Sherlock Holmes pretending to be psychic
House: Doctor Holmes. (house is literally a play one Holmes sounding like Homes)

They mention in the article that despite this being called his last case, this may not necessarily be it.
I think it would be great to have him continue with made for TV movies ala several detective series that have proceeded him. A crossover with Psych would obviously be interesting as well.
