Tell your children not to walk my way
Tell your children not to hear my words
What they mean

At the end of the day, Aronofsky just isn't my thing. So I didn't watch. I might watch The Wrestler and The Whale one day, but the rest don't look like my cup of tea.

I did appreciate Requiem for what it is, but that is an exhausting, soul draining experience.

The Wrestler is his best movie and his most accessible.

All his movies suck except for The Wrestler.

Pretty sure me and my date walked out in the middle of the movie and I’ve only done that maybe 3 times in my life.

I had no idea of what it was going in - and I was surprised. It was clearly some kind of Adam/Eve thing. Too stylized for my taste, but skillfully done, I would say.

I loved the Wrestler and liked Black Swan.

The Fountain is also pretty high art that I can sort of appreciate.

Has anyone seen his nature thing at The Sphere?

I enjoyed it, though it’s a little heavy handed. Black Swan is my favorite Aronofsky film.

As for OP, I think it’s the first aronofsky movie that I just really didn’t like. While most of his movies are challenging, and at times exhausting, this was the first one that didn’t work for me on any level.

I had just had a kid when I watched it, so that sequence just made me feel really uneasy. Thought it was pretty well done, won't watch again.

Enemy is another one of those metaphorical movies I didn’t get until I watched a YouTuber explain everything that happened.

My wife and I are entirely divided on this movie. I think it's pretentious garbage, she thinks it's a beautiful metaphor.

I hate movies that try too hard to signal their importance. This is one of those films. It's visually very interesting, but once you realize its just a bible metaphor made by a non-believer, it just seems like a pretentious mess of style and no substance.

That being said, Jennifer Lawrence is braless for the first 30 minutes of the movie, and she looks amazing.

One of the most wholly unwatchable train wrecks of the last 10 years. That film reeked of self-indulgent ar-TEESTs who sniff their own farts.
