In response the Overrated thread, who is your pick for most underrated stand-up?

For me it's Christopher Titus

So underrated that he parlayed his stand-up career into a TV show...

Zach Galifianakis was before The Hangover.

That was cancelled in 2-1/2 seasons...

His stand up is better than almost anything out there right now.

I sometimes think Jim Norton doesn't get the props he deserves, but then sometimes I see why.

I think Bill Hicks was/is pretty underrated.

Louis CK. He is gaining popularity, but I still find myself explaining to people who he is whenever funny stand ups are brought up.

he's under-rated to everyone except for comedians. They always talk about how he was one of the best. A lot of people don't like Denis Leary because they say all he did was rip off Hicks' act.

My pick for underrated is Kevin Brennan. I saw his HBO One Night Stand and it was incredible, but then I haven't heard anything else from him in a long time. I still can't find that episode to rewatch though and I really want to see it again.

Seems like he died with the 90s. The problem is, he was such a pioneer in his sort of dark and rebellious form of comedy, some of his stuff doesn't seem that edgy or original anymore. Regardless of the material though, his delivery was always fricking awesome.

I know he was very respected amongst his peers, but you don't see too many fans bring him up.

I remember not too long ago Dave Chappelle gave him props and I thought that was awesome.

Titus is pretty funny, although...his stuff can get kinda "uncomfortable" when he talks about being abused by his dad.

I'd like to nominate Lewis Black.

One guy that I've heard a lot of comics speak highly of is Brian Regan. He's funny and he works clean. Jimmy Pardo and Todd Glass always talk about how good Brian Regan is. Pardo does warm up for the tonight show now.

I also remember when Tom Papa had a show on NBC for like 2 episodes, I think he's really funny.

I've always heard good things but unfortunately never heard any of his stuff. I will seek him out though.
