Westley (Princess Bride). Sorta left field I guess but he's an elite think-on-your-feet kinda guy.
Talked and worked himself out of execution by the Dread Pirate Roberts
Became Roberts
Somehow learned of Humperdinck's plot
Bested a fencing master
Beat a giant
Outwitted Viccini
Traversed the Fire Swamp with Buttercup
Improvised the infiltration of the castle
Bluffed Himperdinck into surrender
Got away with his girl
He learned very quickly who his allies and enemies were, too.

Clyde Shelton, Law Abiding Citizen
Cyrus "The Virus" Grissom, Con Air
Doc Brown, BTTF
Howard Hughes, The Aviator
Ted Crawford, Fracture
Joe Bang, Logan Lucky
Gilliam, Snowpiercer
Primo Sparazza, Smokin Aces
Art Weingartener, The 'Burbs
Love movies where the line between protagonist and antagonist is blurred by the character's genius. Their motivations are often sympathetic in nature and dupreme confidence in their own intellect ends up being their downfall.

It has to be doc brown.
He created time travel with only a fraction of the resources the avengers had.
And he didn’t need Pym particles, he converted his time machine to run on trash.
