I was watching this with my gf and her parents when she informed her parents she was pregnant. BOOM!

Man, I haven’t thought about the end of Alpha Dog in a long time. shite. That one hits hard just remembering it.
I’d add Requiem for a Dream to this list.

Sophie’s Choice. Don’t see how this isn’t the clear winner.

Naw, it’s little big league when Griffey robs the homerun off Lou Collins.

The end of Shane hits hard.
The Champ.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind should be on there. Hell, when I was younger my girlfriend at the time said she wanted to watch it so we put it on. After the film she said “and this is why we should break up.” fricked up!

Just to add diversity to the conversation...
Even though the Family Man was supposed to have a happy ending, all I can think about is that their children never existed and will never exist.
The dude lived a life knowing about this amazing daughter and a baby, and bam they cease to exist.

Obvious one is Manchester by the Sea
Some subtle ones that hit me unexpectedly hard:
-Inception - when I realized that (spoiler alert ha) the main dude had unexpectedly inceptioned his wife into committing suicide as she thought there world wasn’t real, that hit me hard af. What a brutal reality
-La La Land - If you’ve got a what if person, the final montage where it shows what things could have been if a couple of things went differently, that one hit real hard when they saw each other

Our Friend
definitely one of the most heartbreaking movies ever made. So goddamn sad.

Also, maybe not the whole movie, but the scene in Hostiles when Blocker and Woodsen part ways hit me hard. An incredibly well acted scene.
