The list for the most 80s movies of all time is always highly discussed (and for good reason) but, as for the movies that best encapsulate the 90s, I can really only think of a few.

Clueless would probably be #1, easily.

I'd also throw in Hackers, Empire Records, New Jack City, and maybe Scream or Can't Hardly Wait.

That list is terrible. One of those movies didn't even come out in the 90's.

Singles is a personal favorite. Any teen movie from the 90's is obviously going to be a good pick too.

You're going to need at least one disaster movie and one over the top action movie.

Disaster, you're looking at Armageddon or Dante's Peak and I'm going Armageddon.

Action, Con Air, The Rock and Face/Off stand out. Con Air.

Jingle All the Way. No movie has ever captured the toy craze that the internet as since killed off.

Clueless
Jawbreaker
Boys n tha hood

I'm going to say dazed and confused, for me personally..70s and 90s had a connection. And in the 90s, when it came out.. I was doing a lot of what those kids did. So nostalgia points I guess.

No one mentioned Singles yet?

Soundtrack alone should give it the edge.

Edit. Saw one. Good call.
