It’s amazing how the idiotic phrase “gumbo party” helped bring down a show. The writer who put that in the script had to have been fired.

My friends and still quote that often…
“Tell ya mama I’ll see her at the Gumbo party!”
I’m guessing they wrote crawfish boil and realized that much of America wouldn’t understand the reference. Instead of just saying “cookout” or “BBQ” they went with “Gumbo Party” lol
