Watched the first two episodes last night. I like it and will keep watching. But the end of the second episode gave me some pretty weird dreams.

Only gotten through the first episode but I’m intrigued enough to stick it out. Don’t know if I’ll love it like Hill House or Midnight Mass but hopefully it’s just better than Bly Manor

Whoever wrote episode 4 loves to read the OT threads “can you take a bobcat?”

Tons of F bombs, orgy/threeway sex. It’s like they’re trying to be American Horror Story

It’s not as good as Hill House. I didn’t watch Midnight Mass, but I think it’s better than Bly? The ick factor on this one is pretty high for me. I’ve been grossed out a lot and just finished episode 4. I prefer just scary without the grossness, but oh well.

Holy hell, the most ridiculously woke cast I have ever seen from Netflix, and that is saying something. 30 minutes in to the first episode, and there is a black gay daughter in an interracial relationship, a black gay prosecutor with grandkids, an interracial marriage for one of the straight kids, and I think another lesbian thrown in. So absolutely ridiculous the number of boxes this series checks.

40 minutes in and now Napoleon is bisexual with an Asian boyfriend. This is so over the top. And at the downvotes. This is a caricature of DEI at this point. The most ridiculous thing I have ever watched.
I’ll let y’all get back to pretending this is all normal.

The woke shite is really eye rolling. It’s so hamfisted.
I’m 3 episodes in and it’s a pretty good show so far.
The lemon speech was great.

Just finished e4. Love it so far. Not as much as hill house and midnight mass but it’s still great. Definitely a show I have to take breaks from occasionally just with all the gore and stuff.

Glad to see I’m vindicated in hating bly. Show was so dang slow/boring I bailed 3/4 eps in.

Thought it was a great series all the way through. And Carla Gugino is my age, 52. Still has the arse of a 23 year old.

Im 6 eps in and it’s been enjoyable.

I have no clue the reasons for the antagonist actions and looking forward to finishing it.

Not really surprising considering the Netflix ceo is likely more woke than any Disney executive.

We just finished 4 as well. It’s been good. As said, not as good as Hill House but definitely better than Bly. I really like the actor that plays Napoleon (Leo). Would love to see him in some other stuff.

I didn’t hate it. It just wasn’t as good as Hill House for me.

I finished it this weekend and I feel the same.

As mentioned in a previous post, I thought Flanagan revealed too much about the mysteries and therefore the reveals didn't carry much weight.

It was really cool to find all the Poe Easter eggs, but overall I didn't really care for an 8-part series preaching about how evil the Sackler family is

ETA: A lot of great performances though. Especially, Carla Gugino, Bruce Greenwood, and Willa Fitzgerald. I also spent like half the series wondering if Michael Trucco was Dane Cook

This was our take as well. Carla Gugino was amazing throughout the whole show.

I made it about 20 minutes in. Too woke for me. That might be the fastest any movie or series has checked all the boxes. I don't care how good it might be, I'm not supporting that crap.
On another note...what happened to Luke Skywalker's neck? It's like his head sits directly on his shoulders.

Flanagan really increased the jokes/humor in this series. The whole "enhance" scene was great too
