I love Big Trouble in Little China but the fact is it tanked hard at the box office.

Budget was $25 million and it only made $11 million in theaters.

yes the boycott Hollywood movement will be in full effect when LOGAN makes 170M this weekend, GET OUT adds to its total and gets to 60 (on a 4m budget) and Oscar nominated LA LA LAND and Hidden Figures continue their runs toward 200M worldwide.

Really? I CAN'T believe a CGI epic centered on the Great Wall of China starring a white dude would flop! I mean, they're fighting Dragons, that can fly, by using a wall!!! How did that possibly miss!!!???

I've said before that this will not translate well to China audiences. It's like specifically marketing a movie to Egyptians based on the the Great Pyramids and having it be about an alien invasion, starring George Clooney. Their thoughts would be "what the frick are you doing".

Their thoughts on dragons are totally different over there from the Western perspective, so in the need to please both America and China, they fricking lost.

Hollywood is in for rude awakening, should have just shut their traps during the election.

I'm quite sure it has more to do with the movie looking like shite from the trailers alone.

How much has it made since becoming a cult classic? Like Jack Burton said, if I'm not back in 5 minutes wait longer

I guess I am missing something. The budget was $150 mil and as of right now it has made $308 mil.

How does that equal losing $75 million?
