Guy Pearce is still the leading suspect for me. Just seems like the obvious "charming stranger that's new to town" type suspect.

That would be odd for me. This dude shows up in town and immediately murders a girl and starts banging the lead detective. How is it connected to the missing girl from year earlier?

if it is him, I suspect it has something to do with his writing, like he kills girls and gets close to the detective to get a better understanding or something

or maybe its actually her cousin and the Deacon is/was trying to protect him

I don't know, I just think the Deacon is a red herring like the Frank cliffhanger from last episode

And why is Mare deleting that video of the neighbor? She's got some shite going on

I think she did it because, if the old lady was validated in what she was thinking, she would never leave Mare alone about it! Easier to just confront the kid on her own and tell him to knock it off.

He’s already made false statements and concealed evidence. He either did it or knows who did it. In a realistic telling.

He is obviously shady in some aspect.

He is either trying to hide that he is the real father or he is protecting someone, possibly Mare's cousin.

Siobhan is also kind of suspicious to me.

Has a Sharp Objects vibe there with some possible deep rooted anger. Not sure how airtight her alibi is, maybe thats a non point but she was close to the scene initially.

the camera does linger on her a lot

Mare's grandson's mom did talk about how much her son hated her, maybe Siobahn thinks Mare drove him to kill himself or had something to do with his death?

how many more episodes do we have left?

As much attention as she’s been given she could tie in to some degree. Unless she’s a complete sociopath though I don’t see her showing any distressed affects so right now I don’t think she played a part in murdah.

Who has the gun though?

was that the same night?

I guess we don't know exactly what time she left his house?

Pretty certain It was the same night. When Mare got home her mom commented on her coming home at 3am or something like that.

They were together almost the entire night.

Total bonehead move. Mare should have played chess instead she played checkers

Yeah honestly I felt like that was kind of a jump the shark moment. I didn’t really buy it.

Still enjoying the show but that cliffhanger was pretty disappointing.

Also disappointed we didn’t get to hear local band “Androgynous” perform on the radio

Wife and I are started watching this morning. Pretty good so far, although Mare is a bitch to everyone.
