No, anyone who says they can do that is full of shite. In fairness, we've found out that a lot of "expert witnesses" used by prosecutors are indeed completely full of shite.

yeah probably too much true crime podcasting. I for some reason thought at close range shootings they could atleast make an estimated guess as to the hand of the shooter in some cases. Either way, its irrelevant. Dylan is a TPOS and his involvement is a major bother. HBO should release the final episodes the following day from the second to last episodes in their series.

Is the last episode going to be this weekend? It is a holiday weekend and HBO used to skip those for their shows.

Havent posted since the second or third page but just checking in to say this show is awesome.

The previous episode where Colin got shot was Silence of the Lambs esque. Hated that he died but that was a great episode.

Dont have any crazy reason to think Frank didnt do it other than they revealed it an episode too early to be him. There's another twist for sure.

Also, is Guy Pearce really just going to be side show boyfriend? Every episode in the back of my head im thinking ok what is about to happen with him. It would just be weird to have him in the show just to have more character development for Mare.

alajones2 and I just started this last night, so far two episodes on and I’m getting a serious The Killing vibe. The dynamic female lead with a rail car full of baggage, the murdered teenage girl, what seems like a shitload of red herrings to follow, but maybe I’m wrong.

I loved The Killing, thats not a bad comparison.

Also, dont read this thread if you're only on episode two.

They definitely cribbed that scene from Silence Of The Lambs. I was hoping for Mare to ask him if he knew the girl who was missing so he could say "Oh wait, was she a great big fat person?" Dude got himself killed, though, as soon as they spotted the pack of Winstons he should have drew down on the guy. Standing there watching the pipes rattle? Too slow.

I do a pretty good Buffalo Bill voice. Every now and then before getting in the shower ill do a little BB move in the mirror (not tucking my dick and nuts back though) and say to the wife "would you f*ck me? I'd f*ck me". It cracks her up.

That's funny, I can also do that impression pretty well. My wife has never seen the movie so I can't use it on her. It makes my Mom laugh, though. (For all you Alabama pervs on here, obviously I don't use the same line as this guy.)

yea probably a different line than that one for mom.

When you're shopping with your wife say loudly "are you about a size 14?"

He is playing the comeback author of the best selling hit Mare of Eastown.

John did it. Girl probably came to John for money. Convinced the passed out Billy he did it to keep Billy quiet. Knew it probably wouldn't hold up under interrogation, so now that the cat's out of the bag, needs to "suicide" Billy. Told freckles because he knew she would tell Mare. Doesn't know about the journals.

Dylan and crew are a literal crew involved in some kind of criminal activity, probably drugs. Needed to destroy the journals because she most certainly wrote about it.

I'm watching it. I really like it, but I find the random bits of comedy to be a bit weird.

I think Lori is the killer. Erin called Lori, threatening to go public about John unless she gets money for her son's surgery. Lori meets with her, kills her, gets Billy to help dispose of the body. The son finds out. Tells his dad, that was the secret he wanted him to keep. Tells his mom he caught John with another woman, not wanting her to know he knows. The look he keeps giving her is a look of disgust, not of guilt (some think he is the killer).

When John's dad told him about Billy, you can see the surprise in John's eyes. He knows now that Billy helped Lori. He is going to kill Billy, frame him so his wife is off the hook. That is what he meant when he told her we need to protect our family.

Dylan wanted the journals because Lori hired him to find them and get rid of them. The neck-less receipt only had Ross as a name. Everyone assume it was John or Billy.

Or John did do it and I took a wrong turn somewhere .

Like I said, she hasn't seen the movie. That question would draw some fire.

Its definitely either Lori or the son

I'm, obviously, team kid here, but I wouldn't be mad if its Lori

I definitely like your "Dylan got paid to burn the journals" theory though

Wonder if they’ll come up with something for a season 2.

I’m probably in the minority, but I don’t want a season 2. I want them to close the case and move on. No cliffhangers or the like.

Now a spin-off of another town with different cast investigating a crime, sure. But leave these characters alone. They made a point setting the scene with this unique case in Eastown. No reason to pull them back.

Move on to East L.A. or wherever and execute the setting just as well.

This show has been a hit from the start and Kate has killed it! Again If she doesn't get an Emmy for her acting in the Kevin death scene alone it'll be a crime!
