Still don't know how you can have bounty hunters, bounties, bribes, payoffs and no DAMN HUTTS!
Correct me if I’m wrong but I was listening or reading something recently that said the Hutts fell apart after Jabba’s death.

I find this show to be excellent. I'm really excited to see where it is going in the SW world.
Off topic (kinda): sorry, not meaning to hijack. But this show has me wanting to rewatch SW from the beginning. Any suggestions on the order? Again, sorry for the slight highjack

I really don't know the timelines, but i believe the Other Hutts were still controlling the underworld after Jabbas death.
The purple colored one was Head of the family then. Or at least out front, face of family.

Still, I think a crime lord run-in is due at least one season.
Like a Crimson Dawn type situation without the Sith leading it. But a crime syndicate Mando has to take down. I would love that

Plus, look at the patch on the doctor's arm:
So basically they’ll be pointing to the Mandelorian for proof of how Palps cloned himself. Jesus. The RoS spoilers are all true.

I recant everything I said in the thread for Chapter 2 about Mando not being presented as a badass.

To a frozen place, a futuristic slightly Asian-looking city, a Scottish/Irish looking pastoral place, and a Greco-Roman themed city at the very least.

Interesting. So just skip Attack of the Clones all together?

Just wanted to provide my input after seeing episode.
Mando is a badass
Other folks jetpacking in was badass
Baby yoda still cute af
Mando line about needing to get a jet pack himself made me lol
Edit: my family and I all got the feels when Mando unscrewed the shifter ball and gave it to baby yoda. No pics GTFO & GFY for thinking of asking.

I figured that was an iron man shout out. Could have done without but didn’t bother me.
Favreau voiced the heavy weapon Mando, so it's definitely an IronMan nod.
Holy hell, I'm loving this show. This episode was amazing. This is exactly what SW has needed in between movie releases. The world is gritty, lived-in and completely SW to the core.
Getting a glimpse of the Mandalorian culture, and to peek behind the veil of secrecy is amazing. Fett was always my favorite character by virtue of looking so damned cool (I was 5, Sue me), but he couldnt hold a candle to these guys.
The retcon of earning your armor piece-by-piece is fantastic.

those patches are nothing alike.
the guys patch has jagged edges. the 2nd I is wavy unlike the kids.

Not even gonna lie, I got goosebumps when Mando walked down the corridor of the Covert to the foundry/Armorer and it showed the giant Mythosaur skull, presumably made of Beskar.
If it's done of similar quality, they could do an amazing prequel series of the height of the Mandalorian culture, particularly their fight against the Jedi. They held their own for quite a while.

Good show. It's a really bitchy download on the torrent sites, but well worth it.
Several years ago, I thought a young Yoda character (or whatever that race is called) would be interesting as an element of the sequels, which hadn't come out yet.
My idea was a little different, though. I imagined that they were created by older Yodas who so rarely encountered each other, when they did they pretty much had to procreate, kind of like desert creatures. When born, little Yodas were immediately abandoned, but they were so instantly adept at everything, they most often survived. Their extremely high aptitude made them highly valuable as slaves, if you could catch one.
Anyway, I wasn't doing anything with it, so I'm glad I get to see that basic concept played out on screen. This is the only good Star Wars thing Disney has done so far.
But its popularity is snowballing, so I'm sure upper management will stick its dick in at some point.

My big prayer is that Disney/KK/Favreau understand that the Mandalorian success could be multiplied by doing a KOTOR series, so long as it's helmed like Favreau has done with this one.
