Was talked about in episode 1 or 2 in the town he goes to for bounties. Either in the cantina or with Mando lady boss

I almost mentioned the Ironman shout out but I am trying to forget it just like I am trying to forget the Mandalorian breaking the blurrg.

+1 That was kind of cheesy. Still a great episode.

What a great episode. I’m glad he got his full armor right away, and hopefully he gets a jet pack soon.

Also glad to see even post empire Storm Troopers still can’t aim.

I figured that was an iron man shout out. Could have done without but didn’t bother me.

So I get from those first few scenes after he gets his full armor that everyone was going to be gunning for him anyway (even before he took the Child back) because he has full Beskar armor now?

Seems like he would've had several beskar bars left over. It only took one to make his shoulder pauldron. Judging by size comparison I figure the chest piece would've taken only 4 or 5 bars. +1 for other shoulder. +4 for thighs and shins. That's 10 bars. He had more than that.

Edit: never mind. Went back to it. They said some would be reserved for the "foundlings".

What a sick show, I love this so much. He has to be able to remove that tracker right? Also guessing this causes trouble for the group still left there in the city.

the entire final shoot out scene kind of fell flat for me. Thought it would have been better for Mando to wiggle his way out on his own. The salute was cringe-worthy. Rest of the episode was great.

Mandalorians have been a pariah ever since their war against the core planets of the Old Republic. They were used as a mercenary group but many the traditional "religious" Mandalorians have been in hiding. Only a small number of them venture out into the world usually as bounty hunters. They have a very collective, unselfish way of handling things - best example of this is when he was told to take time off and enjoy himself he shot it down. Also, he sacrificed his selfish desires to help his fellow Mandalorians who are in cultural survival mode.

For the first time since the original trilogy, I feel like I have cinematic emotional attachment to a character. This is unbelievable to me how they knocked this one out the park! I feel like the actors they chose for the characters are perfect choices.

Why, oh why, couldn't they have done this with the Episodes 7-9?!?!?!?

To wiggle his way out, from the clutches of hundreds of bounty hunters from across the galaxy? A team so large that it took 20 other Mandalorians a decent bit of time and fighting to deal with?

Can you partially admit the, OH THIS ISN'T REALITY IN MY STAR WARS SHOWS, might have a field day with that? (Yes that crowd ironically exists)

Yep. I doubt we see them again this season.

Mando is gonna be on the run it looks like. I’m sure it will all get settled and he’ll go back to being a bounty hunter. But it’ll be interesting to see what happens to the Child and how he is able to escape a pretty large bounty that will be on his head.

Good episode, but this episode more than anything reinforced my belief that they need to at least be 45 minutes in length, especially with only 8 episodes this season. The show's good, but it's lacking depth. They could have fleshed things out a lot more with a longer run time. I mean, they had the budget. That's my only real complaint at this point.

I think it’s been explained before with an article or two online that part of the reason for the shorter lengths on the episodes is because of the big budget. The effects are movie quality and I imagine that’s part of it.

But I do think they’ll be this way for the majority of the season. They are catching flak for it. And with the series posting really good numbers, apparently it’s up there with Stranger Things and Titans, they’ll pour more money into it and lengthen the episodes in Season 2. Another reason could be that this was probably rushed a little bit. Not the story elements but the filming of it. Had they spent more time in production, they could have shot some more scenes but they (Disney) wanted this to be available at launch. Plus, Favreau has stated he wanted to direct some episodes but he didn’t have a chance because of The Lion King
