So, "The Village" was so bad that it didn't make your list of bad movies????

I don't like The Village much, but I think it's ruined by a terrible ending more than it is a terrible movie. I also know it has its defenders. I've never heard anyone defend the other 4, outside of people ironically enjoying The Happening.

Didn’t he direct Split? That was a great movie. Unbreakable was really good as well. He has had some very big duds in there as well but he has shown the ability to create good movies.

I actually liked The Village and The Lady in the Water. I'd rather watch those than Split

Lately have shown my daughter (12, and a movie buff) M. Night’s early work. Last week we watched The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, Signs; she has seen The Village previously.

I went to watch all of those in the theatres, except TSS, which is why I watched the rest of them in the movies, because I watched it on dvd and said “I’ll watch all his movies in theatres moving forward “.

The Happening was the last one I paid money to see in a theatre. Can’t say I’ve seen any others. He let me down.

Just saw ‘Trap.’ It is so shockingly bad that it’s frightening! What in the hell happened to M. Night?

The movie was a vehicle to launch his daughters career. The guy stopped being a serious film maker since The Last Airbender.

Signs is one of the finest movies I've ever seen.

Shocking he's made such dreck since.

Josh Hartnett was so bad it felt like he was trolling at times.

Josh Hartnett gave a great performance straight from Nic Cage’s school of acting. He was the best part of the movie

Hey, I feel crazy defending this movie because I complained after seeing it about how trash it is…. However feel like people are overthinking it compared to other movies by this director.

Sixth Sense came out before the Millennium.

Unbreakable was good too.

Oh... that came out in 2000.

Your point still stands.

It's clear from this and The Watchers that his focus right now is in promoting his daughters' careers. After After Earth, you might think MNS would shy away from the idea of star parents using their power to promote their kids, but he has clearly embraced it.

I wouldn’t say Trap is in any way a good movie. But it is a very watchable movie even if it’s a nonsensical mess

I'm kind of in this camp, it's mostly watchable if you just relax and go along with it.

Unfortunately the movie loses all of its energy when they leave the venue. And then the ending is downright insulting. It's like a college student is making his first film and allows very improbable stuff to happen to make sure the movie has an obligatory "let's make sure we can have a sequel" ending.

After "After Earth" he made and wrote, The Visit, Split, Glass, Old, and Knock at the Cabin. All very respectable movies.

Devil was decent, too. Not an MNS movie outright, but I believe it was his idea/story.
