Already kind of old news, but American Housewife has been cancelled.
So for now I guess there won´t be any more philly cheesesteaks at the on set buffet for Katy Mixon
Anyway its gonna be interesting to see where her career goes from here.

I missed this thread the first time but reading it now is odd. A lot of posts saying yeah her career is set as a housewife, what? I can understand being a working actress, married with kids, and putting on maybe 30 lbs, but this girl has put on probably over 100 and is morbidly obese. Who cares about a career she's looking at heart disease and a possible early death at that weight. I'm not sure if I've ever seen a weight gain like that

She married a big guy and then subsequently squeezed out two puppies while making American Housewife. Never had a chance to loose the wait and probably not much motivation with a fata$$ husband.

So you think she properly gained over 100 lbs, how heavy do you think she got?
I can only think of 1 actress gaining like that after being thin in her early career and thats Kirstey Alley, difference is Katy Mixon was a lot younger when putting on so much weight.

So there is an update on Katy´s career, she has been cast in the true crime limited series The Thing about Pam.

So seems like she is moving away from the tv conedy genre with this project.
Also looks like she doesn´t have to drop under 200 pounds for the role, could have been motivation I guess if role demanded it so to speak.

She's sitting on sweet, sweet syndication money for American Houswife, beginning next month. She's never dropping the weight again.

That's just sad. With that said, having babies can really frick with a woman's physique. My wife has certainly fluctuated over our time together. Now that the kids are grown and gone, she's back down to college weight again.

I´m not really familiar with the economics involved with Syndicated tv shows, but is the rerun money really that big?
Also I do think I see your point, if the paychecks are that sweet while she seems to be comfortable at her current 225+ pound figure, then she might not feel bothered to change it,
Heck she looks bigger now than just after her 2 pregnancies a few years ago.

I'm not privy to the details, but it may very well be the case. I know voice actors who never have to work again due to residuals just by being "Additional Voices" in numerous high level productions. Each one isn't necessarily anything to write home about, but when they stack up, it's significant.
Being the principal actress in a syndicated comedy that's going to be playing in 90% of US markets is going to be solid.
You'd think she'd have gotten big when she was dating Paula Deen's kid, but noooooo...

Nope not even american, tho a fan of her work and fascinated by her career path.
And why this site, well I do observe the football part of the forum a little bit, but mostly watch the Tigers when they are on tv here which is not that often, I have a weak spot for them so to speak.
The NFL is broadcast here a lot more, so I was a fan of the Giants, well since Morten Andersen played there for a season back in the 2001.
I never watched Collage Football a that point because it was not possible and not really on my radar either.
Then OBJ came to Big blue, saw his highlights from collage and noticed he was from LSU, still didn´t watch the tigers until about 3 years ago when I found out it was possible to watch Collage Football from here and well OBJ´s old Uni caught my eye when they are on.
