What happened to Bernard and Rose?

I saw them in the church, but what happened to them in real world?

Where are people getting this plane crash at the end.
Did you not leave it on as the credits rolled? They showed plane wreckage on the beach.

giving credence to the "island is real" line, since they left, i can assume they're not part of the purgatory

michael said that he couldn't move on because of the things he did...

pretty much the same with just about everyone else. they felt like they had unfinished business and couldn't let go.

Wow what a quality ending. I took it as none of them being ready to accept their death in the flash sideways until they were intervened by a powerful thing from their past.....

That powerful thing being their relationships with one another while on the island.

Very feel good ending about death and the ending with Jack closing his eyes was perfect.

Which was my first thought. But showing the crash at the end was an odd, stupid red herring move then.

I almost feel that showing the wreckage of the plane at the end was a way of paying tribute to the sheer magnitude of production that went into the show and the beach/island of Oahu.

other than jack and maybe locke, no character really developed to a point where they could

that's been the problem once the writers moved away from the purgatory ending

now they jump back to it, without using their time developing this ending

they lived out the rest of their lives?

for a show thats been praised for making people think so many of its fans seem to refuse to actually do it.

season 6 as a hole wasnt good but the finale was perfect.

The end was as good as the beginning, solid television. I'll admit that.

Although...

There were a lot of problems from point A to Point B.

Apparently wandering around the jungle with Michael and they rest of the black people on the show.

Rose the concubine made it out though.
