Guys if we hear anything about the ending being revealed before the show, make a big thread title and say "LOST Ending has been leaked, Run." These assholes in here are just dying to find out the end to spoil it for everyone.

Early estimates of Jacob's birth was 42 AD, but the pilot claimed it was "over 2000 years ago". Is it possible that is significant and he was born at the same time as Christ?

God damnit, are they serious. They've said/heavily implied the Polar Bear's origins like 10 times over the series. Are people still really asking about the fricking polar bears?

I DVR'd the pilot last night. I had planned on sitting down in front of the TV at around 6 or 7 and watching the pilot, then the pre show, the finale and then Kimmel. A bottle of wine (with a bottle of Crown Reserve as backup) ready to go.
My wife is going to be out of town for a week and a half starting tomorrow. She said "I know you are planning a big LOST night, but since I'm leaving can you find a break so we can eat dinner together?" Can't argue with that, so I'm going to watch the enhanced pilot now, then cut the grass and throw some steaks on the grill.
One thing - the DTV guide in Memphis is showing 2.5 Men reruns instead of the Kimmel special. WTF?! I hope this is a mistake. I need that show tonight for some closure to everything. I'm expecting to be a little sad (and hopfully pumpled, too) with this over.

You've got to be fricking kidding me. I've got Memphis' station as well. Just looked and you're right. This better be a mistake from DirecTV because I'll be damned if that POS Charlie Sheen is going to mess up my last LOST night for me.
And the thing that makes me happy that Kimmel is hosting the post-finale special, is that Jimmy is as big of a fan of the show as I am (and that is really, really saying something) and he'll ask all the right questions and will be just as, if not more, emotional as the cast and other fans of the series are.

i remember this being pretty well cleared up, but i forget what the story actually was. could you please refresh me?

At first they were just implying that the Polar Bears were being experimented on at Hydra Island, since they put Sawyer and Kate in bear cages. Season 5 they elaborate more on it, like monitoring the Polar Bear cages from the Barracks, and Dr. Chang threatening Hurley to force him to Hydra Island to clean up Polar Bear feces for the experiments they were doing to them.

Yeah...i'm staying out of this thread until after the episode. season 4's finale got ruined for me because someone posted spoilers on this board that it was a flashforward...
