So if the timelines are destined to "re-converge" as some have speculated - Which timeline is the correct one? There are things which seem "right" and "wrong" in both of them...

Faraday implies they are in the wrong one in the alternate timeline, so I think the original one is the correct timeline.

Also, any guesses to who Penny's mother is?

The guy at the party read out her name as "Milton, Penny" so I guess there's a good chance her mother has Milton as a last name.

What is Penny and Desmonds sons name? Is it possible they are Adam and Eve and the son is Jacob or the MIB?

I think so. He named him after the "other" Charlie. No pun intended.

Phenomenal episode. Brings up a whole slew of questions, which is usually aggravating, but in this case I think they are going to answer these(about Des) so its ok.

I love these threads.
I don't have the greatest memory in the world and when characters like George come back up, I'm like, "I know that dude." I just can't remember exactly what they did or said.
I definitely need to buy the entire show's DVDs and watch them in order.
Imagine how fun its gonna be when you know the ending and go back and see little things that were clues along the way, like some of you are already doing now with what we know even now.
Damn this show is addicting.

Didn't get to watch it last night...

Was it better than the reviews indicated?

I have always liked how Lost has the subtle references in each episode. Two I can remember from this one were when one of the characters said, "whatever happened, happened" and how they had George driving Desmond around. You could say he was "guiding" or "leading" him similar to what happened on the freighter.

New questions:
How does Eloise know so much? (I want to see her origin story as much as I wanted to see Richard's)
What is Farraday's plan?
What is Desmond going to do with the manifest?
What is Sayid going to show Desmond?
What were Widmore's plans for Desmond and his special ability?

What exactly did George do in the previous season on the freighter? I mean anyone can bring up anything like the dialogue someone mentioned or anything? I can't seem to remember much details about those episodes with him.

Yes. This is one of the best episodes in the entire series, not just this season. At least, in my opinion.

What is Farraday's plan?

he will figure out that this reality he lives in inst the correct reality and he will use Desmond to get him self to where they need to get

Yeah, I'm calling horseshite on this notion it was one of the best ever. The Richard centric one of just this season blew this one out the water. What did you really learn besides discovering that Electro magnetism has no affect on Desmond or that Penny is his constant.

It was a good episode but I think it's being blown out of proportion. People just like Desmond character in general so I think that's what's stirring the circle jerk about this episode.

I'm starting to think more and more that he isn't. He may be trying to protect life as we know it by any means possible.

Perhaps Widmore and Eloise are Adam and Eve - caretakers driven from their island Eden for some long-ago transgression...
