This exchange was really awesome:

Llana: I've been training for this my whole life.

Hugo: What? Blowing yourself up?

Wow, if it's been a while since you've seen Catch 22 from Season 3 go check it out on Netflix, Hulu or whatever. Go to the 23:00 mark and listen to Desmond's little speech. The girl's response to Desmond might prove prophetic.

I brought this up earlier and didn't get a response. But there is no mention of Hurley winning the lottery in the alt timeline. I thought he said it in on the plane, but maybe he was being figurative.

I could be wrong, but I thought he said he won the lottery and used that money to buy the mr. Cluckers franchise because "he likes chicken".

I thought he said "blowing stuff up". But it doesn't really matter.

No he still won the lottery. Hurley mentioned it on the plane, he shot a commercial mentioning it ( LINK), and they shot this picture for this episode but it didn't make it:

Maybe this is how Des gets out of the well?

This kid has light blonde hair.

Unless the mysterious properties of the island can cause a change in a person's hair color, I don't think the kid we saw last night should be considered as the "same" kid we saw earlier in the season.

If it's really a matter of the makeup or lighting causing the difference, then some of the LOST production crew needs a good kicking to the teeth.

IMO we're supposed to notice the difference in hair color. Either the kids are twins or they are two "sides" of the same kid.

thank you

that is exactly what I'm thinking

That scene where Jack and Flocke stare at each other was intense. And I was actually more intrigued by Jack's expression, like he finally recognized who MIB was. This doesn't seem to make any sense,

I had a different interpretation than anyone else I guess. My reaction to Jack's facial expression was shock, i.e:

"muther fricker, Locke's dead, I know he's dead, last time I laid eyes on him, he was in a coffin. They said he was back, and I know it's not the real Locke, but frick me if that isnt him standing before my eyes"

Yeah that's what I was getting at. If Jack get's him out of there, that would be pretty funny. There is no way that is a coincidence if that actually happens. It would be a testament to the level of detail these writers go to.

It seems like the dead island people are the one's initiating the "experiences/memories" in the alt-time line:

Charlie
Farraday
Libby

Is that a coincidence?

Good point. The only one it doesn't pertain to is Desmond of course.

it was the same kid... same actor... same character... same reaction from Flocke/MIB

Look past the hair... its not that big of a deal

I didnt notice the hair and i guarantee that millions of others did not either.

The writers arent gonna come out and say after its all over : "Ha HA we got you, It was a different kid because we changed his hair, We Fooled you!"

i don't understand why you all think that was weak.

yall are reminding me of the movie "Se7en". when freeman is telling pitt that the bad guy is going to disappoint him because he is imagining the devil, when really its just a man.

i thought the explaination was fine.

agreed. i guess i kinda knew the people who clamored for answers would shite on them once they arrived.

as far as the kids go, didn't someone imdb it and said it's the same kid. i'm ok with that as well.

my only problem with the episode was that they arzt'ed illana. arzt, frogurt, etc were annoying characters that were cathartically killed off.

illana wasn't, so it seemed kind of senseless.
plus, i had sincerely hoped they would've needed to use her shirt for a tourniquet (sp?) or something at some point.

i may be in the minority, but i fount Ilana quite annoying... I know she was supposed to protect the candidates, but I hate how she showed up with this sense of entitlement... She aint bigger than the island or Jacob or the Survivors

Another thought...

It appears only a few days have passed in the sideways timeline, yet the sideways characters are having memories of things which occurred over a much longer period. I think what I am getting at is that they may be having memories of things that are in the future.

or in their past and the alt timeline we are seeing is something that was created (as eloise seems to know everything that Desmond was about to "remember") by a select few to keep the secrets of the island safe or something shite I have a headache now
