I had a different interpretation than anyone else I guess. My reaction to Jack's facial expression was shock, i.e:
"muther fricker, Locke's dead, I know he's dead, last time I laid eyes on him, he was in a coffin. They said he was back, and I know it's not the real Locke, but frick me if that isnt him standing before my eyes"
I took it that Jack was trying to figure out how to politely ask for his dad's shoes back.

are casting call descriptions a spoiler...
its just the casting call description for the Mysterious Boy that we keep seeing..
it gives a clue to his identity

quote:I just read it and yeah, it could be seen as a spoiler of sorts to some. Better to be safe than sorry at this point. It's by no means definitive, but it definitely hints at some things. Of course, they could be just throwing off the masses with that description. If anyone is wondering, it's the "mysterious boy" description in Lostpedia.

ETA: Trust me if you read it, you'll realize the hair color is not an issue.

Won't spoil anything for me. I'd like to know.

it basically makes it out to be one of two people but not both!
its either the light man or the dark man
it doesnt tell who but it does only describe one person... no split personality traits

i just want this hair color dispute to be brought to an end..

lostpedia even goes as far as to say that the boy does have darker hair in the hugo episode but the character description says enough to prove its only one boy.

Maybe this is how Des gets out of the well?
Wow, nice work!

With as much attention to detail that the writers have had with this show, I have a hard time believing the hair color change is not meaningful...especially with the light/dark dichotomy prevalent throughout the series.
Edit: BTW, casting calls are not always accurate...or at least things can change between the casting call and the final script.
Further edit: casting calls are not canon

Maybe this is how Des gets out of the well?
quote:
Desmond: And you don't believe in miracles?
Jack: *Shakes head no.
Desmond: Well then..I'm going to give you some advice anyway. You have to lift it up.
Long pause...
Jack: Lift it up..?
Desmond: *smirks Your ankle...you have to keep it elevated.
Call me crazy, but I've never thought that his advice to "lift it up" pertained only to his ankle. The pauses and the inflection gave me the distinct impression that this line had a double meaning. The first time I ever heard him say that to Jack I thought that this line was going to become important on down the line. But I don't think anything has happened to prove me right...yet.

Best line of the show:
Hurley: She's crazy
Desmond: Well all women are a little crazy

if the hair means anything it means the kid is just a bit older

let's do it. I actually watched seasons 3-5 before 6 started, then watched 2, then 1. I'd watch from season 1 on if I did it again.

i just think people are reading too much into the kids hair color... the first time we saw him his hair looked almost white because the light was shining down on him and his bloody arms

Was anything relevant in that particular episode?
Also, maybe the writers at that time were going for a Signs-type thing like the "Swing for the fence" and then changed their mind?
