Depends on the character. Batman, Daredevil, Dredd...those work better being dark.

And besides Batman none of those really move the needle commercially.

It wasn't as good as Infinity War, but IMO it was about the best they could do with wrapping up a decade+ of storytelling.

Time travel always gets messy, but they handled it about as well as they could have. The only real gripes I have with it were the girl power scene, Ironman's pause, and Fat Thor.

The girl power thing just felt so overly forced and stupid that it was laughable. While Tony's snap was awesome, there was WAY too long of a pause with "And I.........am.....................................Ironman." But that's just more of a personal gripe since it was still pretty awesome.

Fat Thor was even a really great idea of depression playing out in a movie. But the fact that he never got redemption and lightning-zapped back into God Thor shape was borderline criminal. He was basically wasted and only there for sight gags and physical comedy.

But it was really good and about the absolute best way they could have wrapped up the MCU up to that point.

I think I cheered when Captain Marvel got flung off by Thanos.

Liked it a lot, but it had definite issues. Fat Thor shows how bad Ragnarok and Waititi's influence was on the character. (The Marvel fanboys on here won't admit it but it was a bad Thor movie*). Marvel took possibly the most powerful character in the Avengers and turned him into a punk. And if he wasn't the most powerful character that was punked, then that leads us to...

Hulk. Need we say more? And I don't need to see Ruffalo's stroke mouth in the CGI Hulk.

Girl Power. Feige couldn't help himself and this was a harbinger of the nonstop dreck Marvel has put out since Endgame.

Having said all that, it was still a heckuva good wrap up to a great cinematic exercise. Tony Stark, the character that started it all, got his redemption and heroic send-off. Captain America has some cool moments (Avengers, Assemble!) and shows why his moral integrity makes him worthy and the greatest Avenger of them all. There's enough fan service to make almost everyone happy. Really good film.

*Bad Thor movie while, paradoxically, having the greatest singular Thor moment when Led Zeppelin starts rocking

they really wasted an opportunity to wrap up most character storylines.

1. Fat Thor was a slap in the face to the audience (haha Thor fat=funny)
2. Thanos sucks
3. Bruce Bannner killed Hulk
4. Cap and Iron man basically pretend Civil War never happened.
etc.

movie picks up 5 years in the future, and everyone who was brought back appeared where they vanished from.

millions dead undoing the snap, earth continues to rotate, how do we know that theyd even come back on earth or appear in the space just to die again.

The world after 5 years has adjusted to its population, just like it did after the plague/WW2. throwing millions back into the world would put a strain on the economy if they even live. The demand for housing, food, work, would shoot sky high. not everyone would be able to jump back in to life. I see a ton of problems of undoing the snap that the smartest people in the world never even though about

Just a ton of fan service that I will admit I was happy when I finished it the first time. But looking back, the plot just fricking stinks. It does have a few good scenes,

This might be the worst argument for a reasonable position that I've read.

was prepared for Rage hulk to come busting out of the wreckage of the Avengers' Compound. we see professor Hulk holding it up, but starting to struggle. instead of Ant-Man becoming Giant-Man, I just knew the big bad bastard hulk was was about to just wreck shite.

That was a huge miss not to have happen. Having just snapped with the glove would’ve been the perfect time for Hulk to start losing it and after the bombs hit go ballistic. Hulk got screwed in Infinity War and having him go back to rage Hulk would’ve been awesome.

Also, never thought about people reappearing from the snap in empty space because the earth has moved on.

Endgame didn't suck but it was clearly inferior to Infinity War.

In my mind it all ended at Infinity War.

Thanos won.

Thor is still the baddest dude.

Bruce Banner is still an insufferable crybaby.

I've purged Endgame from my mind.

This, they saved that for the trailer for Thor Love & Thunder instead.

The other thing that pissed me off was after teasing it since Avengers was Cap finally picking up Moljnir, which was a great moment between he & Thor and for the fans, only to still be dispatched by Thanos 30 seconds later. They ruined that moment. They could have written that to give them the upperhand over Thanos and then to write the same ending they could have just had a hundred or so of namesless-faceless army attack them to even it back out

Ive looked it as a series finale, it’s very rarely the best episode of a series but it was a nice goodbye to one hell of a run

Tony’s death got me tho

It was fun to watch at the time, but once fans started unpacking what they had just seen, the enjoyment didn’t last.

Fixing The Snap,( never calling it the blip, which is stupid), was ridiculous.

And Captain Marvel. Don’t even get me started.

I absolutely hated Ragnarok. It blows my mind how people were so accepting of the tonal shift Waititi took the character of Thor through.
