If you think Lost screwed the ending, you never understood the show to begin with.

My guess was that everyone involved was restless and ready to move on including the writers and producers. They obviously didnt stick the landing

. I have no problem with Daenerys going mad like her father, but the transformation was sloppy and rushed. The bells drive her insane? What is she? A dragon-riding Quasimodo with tits?

She got Griff'ed. Most likely that was meant for Jon Cunningham to go nuts after being reminded how he failed in the Battle of the Bells.

Who's he? Oh yeah, "we kinda forgot about that."

Nah, I'm thinking if that fat frick ever finishes, that it's not Cersei running King's Landing at that time, but Aegon. There's no way Jaime doesn't kill her in the books and Cersei has been on borrowed time since Season 6. The people will want the heir to Rhaegar to rule them, and not the Mad Queen with dragons. Knowing that Aegon is actually a Blackfyre and Jon's true identity, she goes completely batshit and burns down the city.

And unlike the show, this will have been built up for two books and not two episodes. The Bells themselves just seems like dumb bullshite that D&D put in there. Keep in mind Fattie wrote this episode with this line:

Yes

The show has always looked cool. That’s not the issue. Everything was unnecessarily rushed and the characters and plot lines were dumbed down because of it. Massive far cry from what the show was.

Not having these two seasons be 10 episodes was their biggest mistake. With more episodes, the events would not have been as rushed and could have been placed in better context IMO.
definitely

Season 8 was criminal with how rushed it was. I mean they had the battle at winterfell which the entire North of the wall has been building up for the entire show and the battle of Kings landing which the entire show had been building up to in the span of 3 episodes

With them somehow recovering an army from the battle of Winterfell that can march to Kings Landing when it looked like everyone should have died

It’s asinine that could have been a full 10 episode season with ease and still had stuff left over

It’s like they basically said frick we are tired of this shite time to end it

Well, the issue is that 90% of the people who watch the shows have no damn idea who Jon Connington is and what the frick happened at Stony Sept.

that and since the big actors were making $$$$ per episode, I'm sure that played a role in that too..

Not true!

How many GOT rewatches would be happening right now if not for season 8?

Yes, they were that bad. HBO, the two morons, and the fat man should all be embarrassed.

The last two seasons show how exceptional of a story teller Martin is.

Slow to the point of insanity but exceptional nonetheless.

I’m in the “D&D should serve prison time” camp but I agree there’s still some great moments and imagery in the last seasons.

The answer is yes. Rewatch of the show is ruined by the shite ending.
