Home alone 1. Doggie door but no signs of a dog. I assume it must be boarded but I also saw they had no fence. If they in fact have a dog they must be quite trusting that it won't run away.
Looks like the McAllisters were just as lax about dog security as they were about child security. Doggie door but no fence

Home Alone[a] is a series of American Christmas family comedy films originally created by John Hughes. Chris Columbus directed Home Alone (1990) and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (1992), Raja Gosnell directed Home Alone 3 (1997), Rod Daniel directed Home Alone 4 (2002), Peter Hewitt directed Home Alone: The Holiday Heist (2012) and Dan Mazer directed Home Sweet Home Alone (2021). The films revolve around the adventures of children who find themselves alone during the holiday season, faced with the challenge of defending their family's house or themselves from invading burglars and criminals.
The last 3 are Disney products.

Turns out old man Marley wasn't just out there salting the sidewalks, he was also the only person willing to clean up the dog shite left all over the neighborhood by the McAllister's untrained mutt.

I was referring to the movies beyond HA and HA2. In my mind, they don't exist.

The mom in home alone was a pot smoker.
The only way she could stay chill dealing with those kids.
Kevin destroyed the kitchen. He’s back talking yet she still stays chill. Talks to him like an adult and sends him into the attic.
Wasn’t until she was on the plane that she started craving a bit of pot to unwind.
Starts thinking about her stash up in the attic and realizes li’l Kevin still up there.
Thoughts on this theory?

We need to analyze expected size of that neighbors basement vs how long the water was running and flow rate of the sink to see if it matches the water level depth when Kevin goes sloshing through.
I can’t do it tonight, but I’ll work on it this weekend if no one does beforehand or if it hasn’t already been done and found on interwebs..
(For instance it takes over a day or so to fill a standard 15,000 gallon pool with a hose.)
My first instinct says the water level is plausible based on potentially the one sink with 1990 non-governed flow rate and other variables such as seepage and potential split level floorplan being a possibility.

I always notice that bag. I don’t remember what they tasted like, but it would be cool if they were brought back at least limited time one day with original recipe. I know I was eating Zapps in the early 90s, mostly the jalapeño.

I remember some chips called Tater Skinz.
Seems like Crunch Taters was the competitor to that.

They brought them back earlier this year. Not sure if it was a limited time thing or not

It never even crossed my mind that John Williams did this, and I never heard anyone mention it before. Of course now that I’m listening to it whilst knowing this, it’s glaringly obvious.
Watch Hook and then Home Alone. Williams definitely had a sound in the late 80s.
Honestly you can go back thru John’s milestone scores and see how he’s developed as an artist. Superman, Jaws and Raiders were very epic, then ET started his whimsical stage, then Jurassic Park made dinosaurs real. Schindlers List and SPR were emotional driven scores, then he started his fantastical stage with a bunch of Star Wars and the first two Harry Potters.
John is old. There’s not a whole lot of celebrity deaths that would affect me. Whenever we lose John Williams, it’s going to be a sad day.

anyone ever notice in home alone one when the dad gets there, his reaction to being reunited with Kevin was more like seeing an old friend vs. being worried sick about your kid you abandoned ?

It’s weird.
They show up and their reaction is simply Hey Kevin we’re glad you’re safe….frick we’re outta milk.
