Plot Summary "An idealistic staffer for a new presidential candidate gets a crash course on dirty politics during his stint on the campaign trail"
Interested to hear what people think of the message the director was going for and the material he may have based it on.
Discuss.

I dunno the sound design and lighting wasn't anything to write home about. I would have to look to see how many films the companies had worked on before this project.

amazing cast, think they could have done more with it.

Is this good? I missed it somehow.

I'm just glad they went with practical effects. Too much cgi ruins a film like this.

What an all star cast of a movie
Really enjoyed this one

The editing was serviceable

I know you're doing a thing but I'll discuss the movie. I wanted to like it more than I did. It came up recently on a podcast and I thought that I needed to see it again and give it another chance. Great cast.

Serviceable? This was edited by Stephen Mirrione. He's won 11 awards over the course of his career. Was this as good as his work with Traffic, Babel, or Birdman? No, but it is still top 5 of his career.

Feels like there is a "chilling" effect on the discussion of this thread topic....

I know I’ve seen this movie, but honestly don’t remember anything about it.

This is related to politics, please do not discuss it on this board

I find it funny that a few posters actually discussed the movie but it feels like people are disappointed it didn't just become a big troll fest like it was intended.
You didn't create this thread to discuss the movie. You did it to start shite. Have you even seen the movie and have any actual thoughts on it, or do you need to wait to see what the talking heads tell you is your opinion first?

Im not the OP bruh

I replied to you, but it was directed at the OP, who not surprisingly did not post their own thoughts about the movie. That was the basis of my post. I was lazy and just replied to the last post on here that was of the same vein as the OP.
