Maybe it all goes back to the fact that he went "full retard" in What's eating Gilbert Grape.

Jack Nicholson and Al Pacino are two of the most overrated actors on the planet.

I read it, relax.

I am a fan and think he is one of the best. He should have at least gotten a nomination for the Departed... Other than that I haven't seen anything of his that has made me think that he deserves an Oscar.

His best is yet to come, he will win one eventually...

You ahve some points, but to be fair:

Mickey Rourke won for The Wreslter

Have you SEEN Rourke's performance in The Wrestler? I would put it up there with Heath Ledger's Joker.

Which Jack Nicholson and Al Pacino are you talking about? During the '70s, Jack Nicholson and Al Pacino were two of the greatest actors ever. But if you're talking about the last 30 years, I won't disagree with you at all. They've coasted on their work from the '70s since then. Same with Robert De Niro since Raging Bull.

Hmmm, actually I think it has more to do with their choice of projects. They've all made some stinkers. But each of the three has had a solid performance or two in recent years.

Forrest Gump won six Oscars. That's all one has to know about the Academy Awards.
