This sure feels a lot like the Colbert Report.

Yeah this probably shouldn't be called "the Late Show".

I'm surprised he's claiming to abandon his political character, and one episode in Jeb Bush is a guest and there's a really heavy trump emphasis. I know this isn't his Colbert Report character, but still a heavy dose of politics early on

I want to watch the first 30 minutes of magic Johnson's talk show to see if that was maybe worse than this

If I was Conan, I'd be on the phone with my agent. Be first in line when end this shite show. There is so much wrong with the format, I don't know where to start.

frick TBS, bring that bitch back to NYC, CoCo.

I don't mind Jeb. Imagine if Jeb does win the presidency. Would be cool to look back on his "first episode" guest and see a president (or former president) if his show last a while.

Political jokes aside it does seem Reportish. Just in how the graphics are displayed as well.

I'm a conservative too, but Trump jokes are funny. I wish Trump supporters could push off the jokes as well as Trump himself does.

I'm so tired of Trump jokes on all shows. They were funny at first, but now they just reach.

Nearly all those clips he just showed are fairly old and not even that funny to begin with.

Not a good start so far.

The storyline was so perfect for Conan to replace Dave.

As a Paul fan I love to laugh at Trump, but i agree that his jokes are pretty played out

I completely agree. With school underway and college football back, it feels like those clips were an eternity ago

People have been giving me down votes for this previously, but it's going to take about a year in order for Colbert to figure out what the right balance is. The only person who got it right from the start was Letterman, and that's it. Kimmel, Conan, and Ferguson all bombed their first year. Colbert's character just isn't going to work for this, but I think he still wants to play into his comfort zone with the Colbert character. Give Colbert a year (which they didn't give Conan) and he'll be much better.

It really was. He may not have beaten Fallon but it would be obvious he had the better program. The same way Dave did over Jay, minus the ratings.

Conan would've won some pretty big demographics .
