My friend’s PLEX server. He has pretty much everything that’s been out a month or so. Probably why the last movie I saw in a theater was Endgame.

Feels like I just watched a film school project.

The main actor (I can’t remember his name ) does a jam up job although I don’t think I can recall him ever having a lead role or even really a major role in much of anything popular.

David Dastmalchian - He was polka-dot man in the second suicide squad. He has done a lot of other stuff as well but that's definitely his biggest role to date.

I watched it this past weekend. It was not what I was expecting.

It was fine. I appreciate the novelty, but it's not one that I anticipate revisiting much.

I saw it a few weeks ago and loved it. Almost put it on shudder to watch again last night.

He did a fantastic job. I’ll probably give the last voyage of the Demeter a shot just because he’s in it.

I really liked Last Voyage of the Demeter. I understand why it didn’t do well at the box office but it’s enjoyable

The lead actor is great in everything and this and the actors did what they were asked to do but this film was absolutely awful.

Watched this last night. I'll add another vote to the thumbs up pile. Movies set in the 70's, whether they're contemporary or like this movie is just set in the 70's, are my bread and butter. I have a weak spot for those American 70's color schemes I guess. But on a deeper level, I really enjoyed the story quite a bit, acting was great all around, as many have said, the lead is very good, but the supporting cast was great as well. For me it hit.

For clarification, it is free to watch once you’ve signed up for Shudder, correct?

Finally watched this and I am disappoint.

I didn't come in with super high expectations, and It was OK, but it fell apart completely in the end, which is a problem for an atmospheric slow burn.

The movie should have either been cut and stripped down and made a vignette for a VHS or they should have drawn this out and played it straight, without the silliness. Build a real atmosphere and psychological conflict and don't cop out with voiceover exposition and the psychological ending.

There were some technical issues that I'm not killing it for, but would have helped. Some of the sound (especially the demon voice) was bad, and the acting (particularly June but also Carr to an extent) was bad. The lead was really good and so was Gus. There was a lot more with Gus left on the table.

Like I'd tell someone to watch it but I wouldn't say I'd recommend this movie. If they made more quality horror movies I'd be more critical of it I'm sure, but we don't get much quality anymore.

Yeah I just did a 7-day free trial for Shudder (probably for the 7th time) and I watched it for free.

How was it?

Also, I’ve seen you mention Demons multiple times. Explain that one further for me. I googled it the other day and got multiple results.
