I enjoyed the first ep. I'm not steeped in Lantern lore, so I have very few preconceived notions going in. Looks like Chandler is playing Jordan as a snarky, world-weary hero. I don't know how that tracks with the comic character, but he's not really pulling it off.
That said, the story is intriguing enough to keep me in for a couple more episodes at least.
ETA: Yikes, just read the longer show thread. It's already off to the usual races (pun intended.)

Good episode. Probably the best part of the DC Universe that has depth. Basically DCs Xmen.
Characters like Superman and Batman have been done so many times they are stale. Lanterns is not.

Disagree.
OP, it was a solid first episode. Good acting, entertaining plot, not trying to to inject unnecessary themes. Hopefully they continue down this path.

Gee. There's an original, non-modern Hollywood approach.

Hard disagree here.
I have stopped watching MCU movies for a while now because I got tired of MCU humor. They all just became dumb comedies.
Didn't get any of those vibes from this and Chandler was great. As usual for him.

Wat?
He was fantastic

Fair enough. I only know him by rep, as I haven't watched any of his shows. Maybe his take will "click" for me.
It just seemed a little schizo in that he would be fun, personable and cute with the public and their selfies and then try to Hancock it with his sidekick.
Like I said, I'm in for the show for now and Chandler isn't off-putting, his bit just didn't land for me in the first ep.

Do not read any other thread about the show. Stop reading this thread. Watch it tonight, before it's spoiled for you in some random thread having nothing to do with the show.

He also wrote that godawful Watchmen series and Star Trek Into Darkness and was a major player in the JJ Abrams Star Trek abortion as a whole.

Not a fan of The Leftovers? To each his own I guess.

Blueboy isn't a fan of much - his schtick is to just shite on everything to have some "superiority over the rest of us.

It was a good episode. Looking forward to the rest of it
