This fricking show is nothing more than a redneck soap opera at this point, what a waste of a good idea

There’s a thread on the first page.
I think most people agree with you. I think it could be better, but it isn’t retarded AF like Yellowstone. That was a redneck wet dream.
IMO, Sheridan is much better with movies than TV shows. I think his constant need for melodrama week in and week out wears down the audience. I do always give him credit for making a beautiful film/show.

I have watched the first couple of episodes of season one. Without revealing spoilers, should I just quit now or should I continue on?

I’m not sure why anyone would expect a Sheridan show to live up to first season expectations or standards.
This is what he does and I suspect it’s because he’s splitting his attention to so many other projects and deals and as a result his shows fall off hard.

It’s a Taylor Sheridan production. It’s just Shonda Rhimes for people with salt life stickers, embrace it for the melodrama it is and suspend a lot of disbelief or you’re gonna be disappointed.

True.
Wind River, both Sicarios and Hell or High Water are all fantastic.
His TV shows run off the rails after 1 season.

It became a soap opera in season 1 once they introduced the wife and daughter. It’s following the Yellowstone model. Both are great concepts with pretty scenery and terrible storylines.

I like it for what it is. If I had your reaction, I wouldn't watch it.

Hang it up. Outside of BBT's occasional rants, the show has gone to shite focusing too much time and attention to the widowed girlfriend and the progressive lawyer. While overplayed as frick, at least Angela and daughter are easy on the eyes. The show starts and ends with Billy Bob Thornton, and it seems we're getting less than less of him in season two.

Speaking of Billy Bob, has any one watched the series "Goliath?"

It’s white people shite tv that we all have become used to

Angela and the daughter are easily two of the worst things, season to season, about the show. The funny that is left is only that BBT hasn't changed his ringtone for the T-Rex, even after they're back together.
Dale, Nate, and Boss are the best supporting characters in the show.

Yep, Didn't finish it though. Dyatlov said it best: Not great, not terrible.

That's all of Sheridan shows. It's great to start, then just give it time, hell make it unwatchable.
He needs to stick to films or mini series.

Season 2 will be a transitional season. There isn't enough time and season left to advance the story very far. There will be a giant cliffhanger and off to season 3 which I read is already in the works.
