My 12 month old daughter accidentally spent $26 and bought it the other day on AppleTV so we are starting it tonight.

Is it worth spending 3 and a half hours watching?

No. Skip the first hour and 45 minutes. The movie sucks until the fbi shows up.

I can't sit and watch a movie for that long. I watched through the wedding scene yesterday. I thought they easily could have cut half of that whole section. It just felt like "let's show off our film making cinematography and let Leo and DiNiro show off for a while." Just didn't all seem necessary. I've read the book, as well. My favorites scenes in that first part were actual old footage and photographs of Fairfax and the rich Indians.

The book was very hard to get through. The ending finally explained everything. I was wondering how they were going to make this into a good movie.

Was long but wife and I enjoyed it. I would not want to sit thru it in a theater. After watching i read some of the history of the region and tribe. Liked Oppenheimer better tho

Half way through and this is the most tedious movie I've ever watched. DiCaprio is awful, I don't know what he's trying to do. Tell me it gets better.

ETA: Tedious and pretentious. Scorsese has gotten so full of himself.

EATA: OMG Scorsese gave himself the last lines of the movie. So incredibly pretentious it was embarrassing to watch.

I'm a quarter of the way through, and so far I'm enjoying it.

Did you miss the movies he made in the 70s, 80s, and 90s?

In 1959, Jimmy Stewart made the movie “The FBI Story” which was a sequence of stories about how the FBI came to be.

One such segment was about 20 minutes long and told the more accurate version of the reservation oil land murders in Oklahoma.

It more accurately depicted how the FBI went undercover and solved the murders, nailing the bankers and landsmen. It was an interesting story but not that hard to tell.

And The FBI story gives you at least five other stories that are entertaining. This Flower Moon stuff is a Scorsese and DeNiro snore fest and the first time I’ve been turned off by the fine actor Leonardo.

Oppenheimer was better but not by much.
Both overhyped

I like slow burn movies. I liked everything about the movie.

And then I watched it and it was a chore.
