Finally, Rian Johnson can realize his vision unhampered by KK.

Doesn't change my point that the hyperbole and sensationalism of calling star wars 'dead' is stupid. Its very much alive haha there are still millions of people visiting star wars based theme park lands and watching star wars television shows and movies.
EA has said theyve sold $2 billion worth of star wars video games in the past 4 years
And no matter how many times I've seen that movie it was awesome where they showed the movie on a huge screen over the Houston Symphony which played all of the musical bits live.

How much did the rights to the property and game development cost them? Gross sales don't mean much when you're dealing with a multi-billion dollar property.

I've seen John Williams things but not the documentary. I'll have to look it up.

This is like Anakin tossing the Emperor down the Death Star reactor shaft. Hopefully they put someone who truly understands Star Wars in charge.

I'd be fine with someone that really understands making great movies in charge

Does it even matter at this point? Star Wars is a dead IP

the numbers EA revealed prove that the brand can still be popular. As long as Lucasfilm is not involved too much…

Chris Gore of FilmThreat called this as soon as she was announced for the ASC lifetime achievement award.
That’s up there with the dreaded vote of confidence.
