Watched for the first time last night. Went into the viewing knowing is was not well received.
The storyline wasn't that bad. But why such terrible graphics/technology for Steppenwolf...and throughout the film? Did they hire college students?
Reminded me of playing DOOM back in 1998.
Also, Batman's suit was terrible.
I feel like a good superhero movie requires the viewer to become emotionally invested in seeing the bad guys lose. I never got there with this film.
I'm probably checking out Batman vs. Superman tonight.

I hope you are viewing the Ultimate Edition- which has 30 minutes of extra footage not in the theatrical version. It definitely makes more sense than what we got in the theaters.

Make sure you watch the BvS extended cut. Some of the best action scenes I’ve ever seen.

It was such a departure from the tone of Man of Steel and BvS that it was offputting. Between the awkward comedy and the bombastic Danny Elfman "Circus Music" soundtrak it just came off as amateurish and poorly written. Steppenwolf looked terrible and was just badly written. It will be interesting to see the Snyder Cut- although I'm holding off thinking it will be that much better. We'll see.

I loved BvS. The best action/fight scenes in any superhero movie. Affleck is the best iteration of Batman because we finally have a Caped Crusader who looks like he can whip arse. The casting of the other two main characters (Supes and WW) are damned near perfect. Not the greatest movie but extremely enjoyable.
Justice League was okay. Enjoyed it. Not as good as BvS but I'm looking forward to the Snyder cut.

honestly, the only two things that i didn't like about BvS...
the Lex Luthor casting and the way the character was interpreted....godawful
the wasted seconds spent on Lois Lane going back and forth throwing away and then recovering the damn kryptonite spear lol.
but yeah, the main culprit is the awful Lex Luthor. Put a legit version of Luthor in there and I think it solves most of my issues. The Ultimate Edition fixes the rest of the problems that I had with the theatrical release.

The reason behind the fight was also paper thin

The Snyder Cut is supposed to be coming out in March/May of this year I believe.

Luthor's stunt casting was a weak point. Also, an editor was needed. Cut some of the dream sequences and add back in some of the extended edition material and the movie would have played a lot better.

they also fricked up by showing in the trailers the team up against Doomsday in the end. Yeah we all knew going in that would likely be the end result, but by showing it you rendered the movie title useless and removed all stakes from the fight
