Through the "mini series" and the first ep. Pretty good but would love the boards opinion on it

Watched it start to finish 3 times and wish it was still on Netflix so I could go for round 4. First time through, there were nights that I would say I was gonna watch one more episode and then goto bed. Next thing you know it was 3 in the morning and I had watched 5 or 6 more. There are just some episodes that when they end, I had to know what happened next.

Very well done. Loved that it was "darker" than the original. Without a spoiler have to say I found the the final episode satisfying.

I noticed they were on Amazon Prime now. I started them back when they were on Netflix. I only watched about three or four episodes and they were dropped from Netflix.

I will start again.

I enjoyed it until the last season I think. It got a little too cheesy / campy. But overall it was a good watch.

Love the music, and the characters were top notch. I usually tell non-viewers that if it weren't for the spaceships, the story almost isn't traditional sci-fi. There could be an analogue of the main plot for a flotilla of military and civilian vessels afloat after a nuclear war. No rubber alien masks, no laser swords. Ballistic weapons and a kick arse soundtrack that makes you want to run through a brick wall.

And speaking of things made out of bricks - Number Six. Got damn.

Enjoyed the first couple of seasons, then the writing got a little murky for me.

Hey! Don't pick on Ace.

I admit I was initially against that too but once I finally got around to watching the mini series and the show I loved it.

Only gripe I had was the use of bullets. Takes forever to knock down a Cylon with bullets. First war was 50 years earlier. You mean in 50 years they couldn't come up with some kind of exploding round to knock out cylons when they had nuke proof ships?

Should the mini series that came out before it been watched first?

I loved it all the way up to the last episode.

That piece of shite and the last episode of Lost are two of the greatest shits-the-bed flops of TV history. In both cases the writers proved that there was never a thought out end game and they were just making up cool shite as they went along. That's fine and good for keeping viewers engaged and all, but sooner or later you have to wrap all those loose ends and story arcs up, explain all those mind bending mysteries. That's when the problem hits you. All that random weirdness is almost impossible to tie together in an acceptable ending.

So frustrating.

I had no issue with the final episode. What did people dislike about it?
